Marukab Plaza picked us up from the airport in less than 30 minutes from booking, got us to our rooms in good time, and called a taxi service for us at 4am to Velana Int’l. The location alone is a game-changer — just a 7-minute speedboat transfer from the airport, so you’re sipping a welcome drink on a private island before you’ve even had time to get travel-weary. The overwater villa was stunning: spacious, beautifully appointed, with unobstructed ocean views and gorgeous sunsets right from the deck.
