"The only issue I had was with the slides. The rules on what life jacket to wear wasn’t posted anywhere. My son went down one slide with a life jacket and the second time was told he couldn’t wear that one. He had to wear one that buckled in the back not in the front. The rules weren’t posted on the life jackets. "

"On a recent trip to Des Moines, we were fortunate enough to discover ESA Select Suites in Urbandale, IA. General Manager Stephen and Front Desk Attendants Marci and Drea gave us a welcome as warm as the weather outside (which, given the heat index that weekend, is really saying something!), and they were as friendly, kind, and helpful as they could possibly be. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and we particularly appreciated the full-size refrigerator/freezer. We also liked the microwave above the cooktop, which was perfect for reheating leftover pizza and making popcorn. We have stayed in places that cost twice as much and which weren't half as nice! We would without hesitation recommend this hotel, and the next time we are in Des Moines, we certainly will return. Full marks!"
