Very elegant, clean, great staff and excellent service

Good staff; convenient location

Fantastic location, just a five-minute walk from Madison Square Garden. Great front-line staff. Room was clean and relatively spacious. Nice little touch to have ice cold water in the lobby along with free coffee that was surprisingly good. It’s a small thing but it makes you want to go back. Great to have a kitchen for the room. The only negative was at the very end when we went to pick up our luggage we left behind before going to the airport. Only one person was working the front desk and there was a party of four to check in while the lineup was growing. Had to wait what felt like 10 minutes before I got to the front. Not the staffer’s fault. There was only one person. Surely there could be a second person in the back who can help out if that situation arises. Aside from that, I would highly recommend.

Fantastic location if you want to be close to everything in NYC. Room was spacious and very clean, like other people have mentioned, very quiet considering the location It's not modern, but if you've done your research you'll know it's over 100 years old and appeared on the movie Big (obviously been updated since then). My only criticism is the lack of tea making facilities in the room, but there's a Starbucks close by and a shop next to the hotel for everything you might need. I would definitely recommend staying here, staff were really helpful and friendly too.

Toilet bowl was dirty. Water was turned off for 5 hours on our second day, air conditioner was old and not working properly. The staff was very helpful, but owners should invest in it, ideal location to stay in NYC.
