First time, but not the last

My first time visiting Durban and what an adventure it was! The hotel was in a great location, it was immaculate and the food was so good. i really enjoyed interacting with the staff as well.

Excellent Hotel

I was throughly impressed by my entire stay at this hotel. World class luxury interior decor, absolutely delicious restaurant, excellent service at the bar, extremely kind and attentive staff, breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and downtown Umhlana, very comfortable and spacious rooms, great pool with view. Having traveled worldwide and stayed at luxury hotels on several continents, I can say that no one will be disappointed by this hotel. Tremendous value for very cheap costs.

The room is lovely. The place is great. Beautiful views. Very affordable. Breakfastwas average. However, i didnt like that the toilet was in shower. Like literally in the shower. It got wet when i took a shower. Very uncomfortable and untidy. Also didnt like that navigating the parking area from reception is hard.

Disappointing

The room,a suite, initially looked great with a nice sized balcony etc. However in time we discovered that 1. The door did not lock from the inside 2. The shower was left in a disgusting state. Obviously they were cleaning the drain, did not close it up and it was filthy and the cleaning team should have sorted it out,so we were unable to use the shower 3. Despite the hotel providing a large complimentary water bottle, there were no water glasses. 4. There were no towel rails/place to hang towels up. 5. There was no top sheet which we like instead of just a hot heavy duvet However,the maintenance team was excellent and fixed the issues we reported efficiently.

It was great befitting of the 3.5 star rating. Room was great, clean and comfortable. Service still needs improvement, very keen and friendly staff but still needs a bit more training. Credit does go to their enthusiasm.

I stayed six nights at the hotel. It is new. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. I had a nice soaking tub in my room plus a walk in shower. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The service was wonderful. Everyone was always willing to help if I needed anything. I will definitely stay again.

There was only 1 person at the check in desk, she was very pleasant but overwhelmed with all the guests. There were at least 5 people that greeted us at the hotel entrance, but apparently she was the only clerk on duty.
