"Me and my friend stayed for the NC500. A really fantastic family run hotel with great food and great selection of drinks in the bar. A really quiet and relaxing environment both in the room, dining room and bar. The dining room opens up onto a really good view of a lake and mountains. The bar has a really good condition pool table as well. Would definitely stay again."

"My room in this roadside inn was nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed and good shower. Its remote location gave a quiet night. The restaurant meals were excellent and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Really enjoyed our two nights here."

"Creagan Guest House is so lovely. I would definitely stay again. The welcome was super friendly and we were able to store our bycicles in the shed. The room was very clean and so comfortable. Loved that hot chocolate was available in addition to the tea and coffee. And there is even a guest lounge with a fire and whisky. Breakfast was very tasty. "

"Lovely, clean albeit quite a small room. The property is a short walk from the town centre of Ullapool. The host explained everything we needed to know about our stay upon arrival. The only negative was the bed was quite creaky. "

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Caledonian Hotel in Ullapool. It was a perfect base for a week walking the hills of Assynt and Coigach. Room was comfortable and well-equipped. Breakfast was really good - no lack of choice. Eating in the Caley Restaurant was a great way to recover each evening - a good choice on the menu, perect portions and very well-priced "

"My partner and I stayed for two nights while exploring the central Highland and loved it! The property owner was very welcoming and gave us some historical background of the building which is really interesting. The hotel is situated up a hill which results in stunning glen views from the rooms and grounds. When exploring the grounds you may also stumble across ducks, hens and even peacocks, adding to the uniqueness of the property. The communal kitchen is well equipped, and again offers lovely views. There is also a pool table, swingset and lounge area that guests can use during the day. In addition to this hotels interesting history and picturesque views we also found it to be very peaceful. "

"Excellent comfy and friendly hotel. Service excellent. The hotel itself is a little tired. It is closing a the end of the season for two years major refurbishment. I do hope they don’t alter the ambience or try to cater for the.masses. The people who stay there as it islquiet, a bit old fashioned and serves an excellent fresh local food. Thank goodness it’s not like a gastro pub with rooms! The views are magnificent even in the rain. Lovely walks and a few mountains to climb."
