I had a reservation for 5 nights and checked in online however when I showed at the hotel they were over booked and gave my room away. So I was stranded in the middle of the night in a town I wasn’t familiar with and the front desk clerk did not offer to help or do anything other then suggest to cancel my reservation. They did manage to honor the rest of my stay but not having a room for a night definitely soured the entire experience

There was water stains on the walls and stains on the lobby furniture. The pool and hot tub were digusting is was swap water at best. They charged me for the room even though I paid theu expedia still waiting on a refund. Every day we had to reset our key cards to get in the room and they said it was because of house keeping and even when I denied service to the room we had to register our key card again staff was very rude. When asked questions it was like I had bothered them and the "manager* said I dont know why the staff would tell you that because its not true they should have said some thimg else. I WILL NEVER STAY at this hotel again

doesnt really make sense to write a review about the property b/c i wont get any points or money back. i wont get any kind discount for my next stay. the hotel must be pretty old b/c it was showing its age. the photos online make this Courtyard look amazing. when yoi see it in person it does not look like the photos except the lobby & bistro. i had reserved a room with a king bed & sleeper sofa with handicap access. i get ther & the front desk lady was very short with & told me that they didnt have that room availible b/c it had not been cleaned yet. i got there just before 5pm & the room still haf not beens cleaned. she told me it wouldnt be availible until the next b/c cleaning staff had already gone for the day. so she tried offering another handicap room but it smelt like a boys locker room. no thank you. evently she found me a.room on the 2nd floor the was ready. it still was not what i paid for or wanted. the pool was very cloudy & merky the hot tub was ok. it has some damage to it but it didnt stop from going in we found 2 fleas in our room that we noticed. not sure if they were already in the room or if we tracked them from outside. its not really worth the $125 per nigt for how the place looks. unless they offered free breakfast. there are better hotels all around it that i would stay at instead of this Courtyard

My wife and I took an overnight trip to Tyler and chose this hotel for its convenient location and solid reputation. The front desk staff was very friendly, and check-in was quick and effortless. The hotel offered good amenities and was clean and secure overall.However, when we arrived at our room, we found the door slightly ajar, which immediately made me uneasy—I wasn’t sure if someone was still inside or if the room had been broken into. The door frame also had noticeable pry marks on it. Thankfully, the room was empty, and the door still closed and locked properly, so I decided not to report it.The only real downside was that our room was right next to the elevator. The loud dinging sound went off constantly throughout the night—at least a hundred times. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel, but I’d strongly suggest requesting a room far away from the elevator.

This was one of the most unprofessional and upsetting experiences I’ve ever had. We paid in full for our room, arrived hours away from home while traveling for a funeral, and were then told the hotel had overbooked and no longer had a room for us. The front desk employee offered a different room with a bed and a pull-out couch. I specifically told him I was stepping outside to check with the girl I was traveling with, and when I came back moments later, he had sold that room to someone else who was there to check in their room that had already been overbooked. We were left with nowhere to go. Every other hotel in the area was completely sold out. Even after showing proof of payment and our receipt, the response we received was “it’s not my fault the hotel overbooked,” followed by being told there was nothing that could be done, and that we would not be refunded until we contacted Expedia. There was no effort to help, no attempt to find alternative accommodations, and absolutely no compassion, despite knowing we were in town for a funeral and hours away from home. Overbooking is one thing, but selling a room that was just offered and then leaving paying guests stranded is unacceptable. This experience showed a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic human decency. I would strongly caution anyone against staying here.
