Best Western Appleby Park Hotel

"We stayed as a couple for the weekend 24th to 26th July. The hotel was well maintained and welcoming. Staff couldn't do enough to help, from reception, to bar staff and room cleaning. Everyone seemed to be working to the same ethos. The room was lovely, shower was powerful and bed comfy. The big let down was that done of the rooms are air conditioned, but the public areas are. We did have a fan, but it was noisy, didn't really cool us down so we had a couple of uncomfortable nights. This was probably the coolest weekend for weeks so I wouldn't have liked to stay during the heatwave."

"I found the staff wonderful. They were very helpful and accommodating. I had issues with my sink ( my own fault ) and they came within minutes to sort it. I had a great bunch of coffee and tea in the room which was very helpful as I love a good coffee. The room was very clean. You could hear things as it’s a pub but I slept great still. Love the free parking. I didn’t get any signal"

"Lovely big family room comfortably fits 5. We were located at the back of the hotel near the car park. Which was very warm in this weather and only 1 fan was provided so would recommend taking an additional one. We kept the windows open in the night but the noise outside with traffic, bin lorries etc was pretty loud so kept waking myself being a light sleeper. Kids slept through it though. Car park was the biggest down fall. The spaces were small and not a lot of room to swing cars around so even if there is a space it can be inaccessible due to the angles and size of car. There is an overflow car park though. Overall for the price is was a nice stay and nice location."

"Lovely little pub, friendly staff and locals and a good vibe. The cups in the room for brews were dirty and the shower was weak but for less than a hundred quid it was fine. The chefs never turned up for work so the food was made by the landlady which was nice of her. If we're in Tamworth again, we'll definitely consider staying here again"
