My stay at the Carlson was really wonderful; great location, clean, spacious - the hosts were super nice and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again!
15 min off Rt 93
Downtown Littleton is 15 min away , all the stores and restaurants are right there. Leaving the resort go on 302 east are the ski resorts. The beds are very comfortable, shower water pressure is very good, a nice and quiet place. This is not a welfare hotel .
We will be back when we are in this area to stay .
Attention to detail was amazing, the owner, the room, hangers in the bathroom, curved shower rod, plush & firm options for the mattress and for the pillows, etc. The owner even gave us local restaurant info upon check-in. We will definitely stay here again!
We missed having a fridge, but it was cold outside so we left food & drinks in the car.
Great location to many hiking trails. Staff very helpful and informative on check-in.
My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Also had a gorgeous view!
Loved it here!
Our stay was great. The owner Carol is fabulous. Room was comfy and clean...the only thing missing was a room fridge. Pool was nice. Flowers were very nice as well.
It was a very good bargain for the quality of service and experience had. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was a great night of sleep after a long day on the trails. The place it’s a little dated but it’s very clean and functional and quiet and the location it’s pretty central to everything. Would absolutely stay here again.
Had a great stay with clear communication from the lodge and a hassle free checkin and checkout. Nice clean rooms with beds as advertised. Staff took the time to ensure we had everything we needed during checkin.
everything was funky, especially the home made soap in the shower.

Hi Douglas,
We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. As was explained when we showed you to the room, the soap in the shower was Dial Shampoo and Body wash in a refillable bottle. We made the change in an effort to have fewer single disposable plastic items in the rooms. We still provide alternative single use soap which was on the sink. For the same reason we have ceramic mugs as an alternative to disposable cups to go with the coffee makers in the rooms. While these are small efforts we have made to reduce our waste and protect the environment, we have also invested in a 177 panel solar array that we have had for the last 4 years. We look forward to continuing this in the future and make more steps to help keep the White Mountains pristine and the winters cold enough to have good skiing.
A great place for kids! This was our first stay but we met several families that have stayed at Carlson's Lodge year after year. Our 5 year old daughter asked if we could come back every year.

Nothing. We saw the owner the first day. That was it. No breakfest. Very disappointing.

Hi Anonymous,
We are sorry that we did not live up to your expectations. We have tired to have everything updated to match what we are offering in the time of covid but unfortunately we can't change everything and past reviews. Most people are looking for a vacation with as little unnecessary close contact as possible and that is what we have been trying to offer for both guest safety and our own. We are sorry that this was such a negative aspect of your stay with us.
Very nice rustic inn located in the twin mountains of New Hampshire. Very nice family owned inn. Some services not available due to recent spikes of covid. Comfortable room , nicely appointed.

Hi Cynthia,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for your stay with us. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and are understanding of the limitations we are experiencing because of covid.
The owners are warm and friendly and they make sure that you are comfortable during the stay with touches like a coffee pot in the room, 2 different matresses-one firm and one soft, a nightlight to find the bathroom at night, area brochures, list of local restaurants....

Hi Kimberly,
Thank you so much for writing a review! We try our best to make it like your home away from home in the White Mountains. Having the two different mattresses is one of the best decisions we ever made! We hope to see you again.
Good location to state parks with plenty of hiking and adventures. Lodge is dated and could use some upgrades. Hosts were SUPER helpful and gave great info about local options.
super clean rooms and bathrooms ... super friendly staff ... we would definitely stay there again for a weekend ski in Bretton Woods.

Thank you very much for the positive review! We are happy you enjoyed your stay. Although Bretton Woods is the closest at 6 miles away (and we have discount tickets) there are 7 ski areas with in an hour drive if you want to try more than one. We look forward to having you back!

Hi Isa,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again. We put some thought into having a firm and plush mattress in each room with two beds so we are glad you found them comfortable.
A great family owned lodge and property was past down from owner's dad. She explained everything, like dinning, best breakfast places, fun places, cops near by, etc. Lots of friendly chat. Thank you for her telling me auto-way to mount Washington is closed due to weather.
The room is super nice and clean. The window oversee a nice forest. Everything is up-kept. Bed is very comfortable. Washroom and tub are spotless clean.
To me and my wife, we felt like home. I will definitely stay there when I visit white mountain again.
Highly recommended.
