The room was really nice and clean. The kitchen came with everything that we needed to make dinners and breakfast. It felt like it was the perfect spot between the hiking trails on independence pass, and visiting Leadville. The mining museum was amazing. The hot water only last about five minutes. However, I would still recommend staying here and I hope to come back.
The camp ground is in a dirt lot off the highway so you get a lot of noise. There's no view, there's also nothing there to do. Our cabin smelled like old, stale cigarette smoke. When I brought this to the managers attention, he said there were wildfires and thatS probably what I was smelling. This was not from a wildfire, this was classic, stale smoke like from a hotel that the room used to be smoking. The tiles in the shower were coming up as well. Overall, it's not bad for the money and there is a full stove in there which is nice. The bed was terrible and the pillows were paper thin. If you stay here, I'd recommend at least bringing your own pillows.

Great location for CT Hikers! Adequate lodging and has what you NEED! Our unit had see through curtains so all the lights around shined it so that was challenging and there was dirt and dog hair on the floors and rugs.

Got a large cabin with 2 Queen beds. Was a cozy place and the staff was very friendly and nice. Only negative is the hwy noise. It sits on the corner of a main hwy that connects Leadville and BV, as well as to Twin Lakes...which is less than a mile away offering stunning views. Still, the condition of these cabins were great and gave that cozy cabin feeling.

There was hair in the bed when we pulled the blankets back, kinda gross. The area was quiet at least and easy check in.
Available amenities, staff availability and towels in the room for the # of guests would have helped

Ideal overnight stop
Lovely little wood cabins! Very cosy inside, bed was super comfy! Ideal for staying over a night. Check in was a key in the door, had free wifi, clean bathroom etc., all the basics covered! Would stay again if passing!
Oh my. I knew this would be a rough "no other choices" cabin stay, but I can't express how disappointed we were. Upon check in, it said on the door we were emailed a code (I searched all over my emails and Expedia email and found nothing). Had to go to the office which was trashed and disgusting and wait for the host to come out (with his dogs barking at me) and give me the code.
The rooms were fairly clean but the beds were COVERED in hairs, which made me wonder if the sheets had even been washed. They were very hard and uncomfortable and pillows flat and useless. I made some food in trashed, scratched up pans, which when pulling out of the cupboard were greasy and had dog hair all over them (barf). There was nothing to dry dishes on, and one terrible microfiber towel. One burner was broken on the stove. The sink had other people's food still in it.
We had 6 people and enough towels/wash cloths for 4, but couldn't ask for more because of office hours. There was a NASTY dried bloody booger on the shower wall right at eye level. There is nowhere in the bathroom to set anything, even toothbrushes. No hooks for towels.
The worst was there was no ac. It was HOT and uncomfortable - up to 80 in our cabin before it started cooling by the night air. We had to sleep with windows open which was concerning due to the location and made the cabin very loud with traffic.
I can't understand the good reviews of this place - it was disgusting. Do NOT recommend!!
