" Firstly, we were disappointed to find out the pool/hot tub/splash pad had been closed indefinitely. When I mentioned the pics still being up & that pool was still listed as an amenity when I booked online, the front desk employee gave me a rehearsed explanation about having no control over 3rd party listings & that issues such as this were covered in the policies section & I could refer there. Unfortunately, there really wasn’t much that WAS positive about what we experienced this visit. The Mexican restaurant INSIDE the hotel is the exception!! It was wonderful! Great food & even better service! We could tell that some improvements/updates had been being done. Noticed new hallway flooring, fresh paint in some areas, but all of the hallway lighting fixtures were clearly installed poorly & were crooked & some nearly coming out of the wall. In our room an updated bathroom faucet, but a curtain rod that was literally barely attached. The overhead lighting fixture wasn’t even screwed into the ceiling. There were sloppy repaint areas in the bathroom with a FILTHY door & mirror! Visible dust on the ragged lamp shades & other surfaces. Old lamp shades that wouldn’t stay tightened & had its trim falling off. The bed frame had a dangerous metal bracket twisted and exposed. The microwave sitting atop the fridge wasn’t plugged in & had no outlet within reach! Why have it sitting someplace it can’t even be used?! One front desk employee smelled horribly of cigarettes. "

Had the verdant thermostat's which couldn't be changed front desk tried to call maintenance no response from them. Ended up getting the window to open for cool air. Too be fair the staff on duty did try to help but couldn't due to lack of knowledge"
