Que du bonheur

C'est l'Alsace pur jus. Des maisons authentiques, des géraniums comme nulle part ailleurs. La bonhommie des habitants, leur gentillesse, leur faconde et leur simplicité : que du bonheur ! Sans parler, bien sur de la gastronomie : nous avons tout retrouvé à l'Auberge du Brand ! Merci !!!!

Nous avond passé une nuit à l'hôtel du Brand. Le personnel était très gentil. Hélas on avait pas de clime dans la chambre. Et comme il fesait 35 deg'rees on a eu très chaud. Le lendemain on nous a dit qu'on aurait du demander des ventilateur. Ça qurait été bien si on nous les avait proposé. Mais le restau était super!!!! On a très bien mangé.

Gemütliches Hotel in historischem Fachwerkhaus

Das Hotel hat eine wunderschöne, gemütliche Gaststube, in der es das Frühstücksbüffet gibt, in dem man aber auch hervorragend zu Abend essen kann. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll, jeweils unterschiedlich, eingerichtet. Der heutige Standard (Bad etc.) ist logischerweise nachträglich eingebaut worden. Das merkt man an der Ausstattung. Da aber alles funktionierte, hat uns das überhaupt nicht gestört. Wir würden wieder hingehen und das Hotel auch Freunden empfehlen.

A disappointment

Unfortunately although we had planned to stay overnight in Turckheim, our usual hotel had to close for emergency work, so this booking was a last minute decision. Although the location was right, we felt that the accommodation was very basic. The bathroom was clean but rather threadbare, with no extractor fan although it was in the corner of the bedroom. Parking was extremely difficult, and we had some distance to access the hotel carrying our luggage. We could not leave anything in the car because of where it was parked.However the staff were friendly and the breakfast very good.

Etape en Alsace à Turckheim

Notre étape à Turckheim a été très agéable. Après réservation par internet dans l'après-midi même, nous avons appelé le restaurant de l'Auberge car il étati mentionné FERMÈ sur internet. La personne nous a gentillement expliqué que la période de Janvier était habituellement très très calme et qu'il n'y avait personne d'autre dans l'Auberge: le restaurant n'était donc pas ouvert ... ... mais qu'ily allaient ouvrir le restaurant pour nous ! Arrivés sur place, l'Auberge est dans la tradition la plus pure d'Alsace: décors, accueil chaleureux, chambre équipée très agréable ... On nous a même proposé de mettre notre véhicule dans la cour. Nous avons profité d'un repas excellent ainsi que du bon vin de la cave de Turckheim. Après une nuit de repos dans un calme très appréciable, le petit-déjeuner était ultra-complet. Nous recommandons donc cette Auberge du Brand, autant pour la partie Hôtel que pour son restaurant. EXCELLENT !!!!!

super rapport qualité/prix

Charmant et typique hôtel situé au centre de Türkheim. Nous avons séjourné 3 jours dans la chambre "Pinot Noir" mansardée et toute mignonne. A savoir, le plancher grince beaucoup mais nous trouvions ça comique et charmant. Le personnel est au top de la gentillesse et du service. Etablissement très propre. Repas du soir délicieux. Petit-déjeuner très bon, surtout le pain, les croissants et pains choco qui venaient d'une vraie boulangerie!

Our first and best stop in Alsace

Old town so limited vehicle access but we parked within a two minute walk. No elevator but no problem for us. Lovely room overlooking the street - some vehicular traffic (windows cut our pretty much all sounds) - but also the night watchman singing at his various stops around town starting within eyeshot at 10pm. We were immediately above the diningroom and there were sounds but they were minor and stopped mid-evening. Breakfast was the only disappointment - limited choices of adequate quality (quantity was fine). Dinner was fabulous - imaginative, fresh, very tasty. Turckheim is certainly one of the less spoilt old town centres of the twenty or so we stayed at or walked through. Good proximity to Colmar but you'd never know the busy outside world was so close by. I would highly recommend both the town and the hotel to those who are not infirm and cannot negotiate cobbles and/or stairs.

Hotellet er placeret i Turckheim i Alsace. Turckheim er en typisk by for området, med gamle huse i gamle hyggelige gader. Masser af blomster og små restauranter, vinhandlere mm.Hotellet har en restaurant i stueetagen med have, og hotelværelserne er ovenpå. Personaler et meget behjælpsomme, og maden er god, så dette var et vældigt godt ophold.
