Trés bien pour le pris

My French is not good. I like this hotel very much. The staff have been very friendly and kind. The breakfast buffet is great. For the price, the hotel is excellent. Negative: The street outside is not good. This part of Tunis is rough. My shower was difficult. It was cramped and would change suddenly from very hot to very cold. Part of the building, the Bistro has music every night until midnight. The bass come up through the building. I am a heavy sleeper anyway and the Berber style drumming on one evening was very good.

There were a few workers that took their job seriously and made my stay wonderful. But there was one particular lady that ruined my entire experience there. She was very unprofessional and disrespectful towards me because I was American and didn’t know the area…she would also give false information when I asked her for directions to a store.. at times she even lied and told me she wasn’t from the area but I always saw her walking to work at this hotel. I don’t appreciate this level of humiliation and I felt uneasy Everytime I saw her… she would sit out in the lobby and laugh with her girlfriends from town. This is the hotels downfall and the reason why I will not recommend this place or come back. But, overall the restaurant attached to the hotel was amazing and I would eat there everyday if I could… also, the bartenders at the hotel bar go above and beyond for the customers, I will truly miss them

A tour guide who picked me up from here said this was one of the oldest hotels in the city. It's a cool art deco building and the lobby is a great place to sit and talk to other travelers. The staff were all also very wonderful. The rooms themselves seem are fine for the rate but not great. This place is perfect if you want to be in the heart of Tunis and have a sense of adventure. If you're looking for luxury rooms try one of the resorts.

Personnel agréable, mais environnement peu rassura

Le personnel de l’hôtel était très gentil, ce que j’apprécie et tiens à souligner. En revanche, plusieurs éléments m’ont déplu. La localisation n’est pas idéale : nous ne nous sommes pas sentis en sécurité dans les environs. Autre point dérangeant : à la réception, plusieurs hommes fumaient et semblaient alcoolisés — une première impression plutôt négative. De plus, l’insonorisation est mauvaise : les bruits de portes et de l’ascenseur étaient bien trop présents dans notre chambre. En résumé, un accueil sympathique mais un cadre globalement peu rassurant.
