We stayed here last minute due to not being able to get home in a recent snowstorm. The staff was friendly, caring, and helpful. The room was adorable and perfect for what we needed. The bar and grill on site hit the spot and we hope to come back soon!

We arrived before check in but staff was able to get us in early. They were very friendly and helped us to our room. We felt as though they were looking out for us and making sure our stay was great. Loved the continental breakfast and living room area we could hang out in. Room was super cute and location was perfect for us.

First there was no such thing as private path to a white sandy beach. Not sure how that even ended up in the description. There’s a river with no shore. No AC and it was very hot that evening. They brought in a tiny fan to put in the window to help but it didn’t come close. Leaving the window open for air allowed us to hear the trains horns as they came screaming by around 3 AM in the morning and at least every hour if not two till we finally got up to leave around 7am. Couldn’t stay asleep with the train so we eventually left. The location was excellent and easy access to all the restaurants and shops

We stayed here on a Saturday night and our room overlooked the main street. Apparently there is a nightclub across the street with extremely loud techno music and without any AC in the summer, we didn’t have the option to close the windows. It was so loud, it almost felt like we were inside the club. That, and the train goes right past the inn which is super loud and then the street noise below. Needless to say, we barely slept. I would have asked for another room but there is no front desk. When we arrived, we had to bother a very busy waitress to check-in and felt terrible to pull her away from her customers. Also, very strange to have a waitress take us to our room. We didn’t want to bother her again, but most of the nightclub noise was after the restaurant closed anyway. My husband ran to the store to buy us earplugs but they didn’t help much. It’s a cute place, but very under staffed and VERY noisy at night. Do not recommend.

Our room was old Truckee quaint. I didn't notice the big chunks of missing plaster on the walls at first. I really didn't mind it either. It was a comfortable, nicely decorated room. We had to ask for towels. The bed was comfy. Then I saw the mouse. He ran from behind the wardrobe to the bathroom. I wasn't sure I actually saw it until a few minutes later when he scurried back to the wardrobe.

Easy check in and out. Connected to Bar & Grill which is convenient but it’s also walking distance to downtown for other good & drink options. Clean, quaint, friendly staff. Coffee and a little something for breakfast. Nothing fancy but a work in progress. No air conditioning but it was mentioned that individual room units are being looked at. I’d stay again…

Very adorable hotel with a lot of personality. The staff were courteous and made sure that we had anything we needed. Everything in downtown Truckee was within walking distance so parking was never an issue.

The staff people were great. The food at the restaurant was great, the drinks even better. It's like staying at the pub in the Cotswalds country side, which was cool. Unfortunately, the rooms left a lot to be desired, especially at the price charged. The very, very squeaky bed, the windows with a ton of street noise, the shower/tub from the 1800s, which I thought was a period piece harking back to the pub idea, and essentially no friills everything. I've paid 1/5th the price at a basic Marriott just the week before and gotten a nicer room.
