En liten oas att vila i

Det gamla klostret med utsikt mot floden är ett perfekt val för den som vill spendera några dagar i en lugn och genuin miljö. Man befinner sig i en stillsam charmig by 7 kilometer norr om Trier. På den lummiga terassen kvittrar fåglarna medan man avnjuter frukost eller middag av hög kvalitet. Man kan höra bilvägen på andra sidan floden men det förtar inte lugnet här. Temat är hållbar mat och det känns verkligen att juicer och marmelader är småskaligt tillverkade. Personalen är otroligt vänlig och hjälpsam. Jag skrev en kommentar att jag saknade kylskåp på rummet i min utvärdering av incheckningen. Vips så kom de upp med ett litet kylskåp! Vi kom hit med tåg. Det är 900 meter till stationen Pfalzel. Vi hyrde cyklar i Trier ett par dagar - rekommenderas starkt för att enkelt se sig omkring i omgivningarna.

Très bien situé sur le bord direct de la Moselle. Calme et confort. Très bon rapport qualité / prix pour un hôtel 3 étoiles. A quelques kilomètres du centre, le GPS s'impose !

Slaapkamer en badkamer zijn goed. Keuken/woonkamer sobertjes. Tv in slaapkamer vind ik persoonlijk niet fijn. Nu moet je al op bed gaan liggen als je avond tv wilt kijken. Geen informatie over accommodatie of omgeving beschikbaar. Receptie bijhorend hotel was dinsdag en woensdag niet aanwezig.

Der Aufenthalt war super, hervorzuheben sind die tolle Küche,die geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmer -klein aber fein und ein besonderes Erlebnis der Gastraum im ehemaligen Kreuzgang des Klosters . Das Personal war sehr freundlich und sehr aufmerksam ,insgesamt war der gesamte Aufenthalt nur zu empfehlen , wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder .

Trier Hotel

Nice old building alongside Mosel in village on outskirts of Trier. From that point of view it was well located to explore the Mosel Valley and Trier. Cycle hire available on site, level cycle routes to Trier easily accessible. However, we arrived at 1900 following a long and delayed journey courtesy of Eurotunnel and was told check-in closed at 1800. Kept waiting at reception for 20 minutes, not ideal when we just wanted to use room and freshen up before dinner. Staff were rude and we were asked if we understood English (due to arriving later than the stated check in time) and when I complained about being kept waiting for check in was asked if I wanted to stay here or not! Restaurant dinner was good with prompt service. However breakfast encountered rude and miserable staff again who were obviously under pressure due to lack of staff and numbers of guests. Part of the restaurant was al fresco which was pleasant but the number of flies was off-putting. The self service buffet was indoors and the food covered but the flies were underneath the covers with no evidence of the insect zappers normally found in catering establishments. Room comfortable but with interesting electrics and curtains that didn't meet, also areas where cleaning was suspect, a door that was far from clean and glass was a CSI dream with number of fingerprints. Obviously hadn't been cleaned for some time. Glad to leave.

The location was good and the patio restaurant was really nice.. we booked a river view room. We ended up on the upper floor. These rooms are considerably smaller, hotter.and do not have much of a view. I would recommend the first floor where the rooms were cooler on a hot day and definitely bigger. The staff was very accommodating and moved us to a first floor room.
