Very comfortable room with a delightful enclosed sunroom balcony looking out over the village and the hills, including distant mountains. Very convenient for walking around Triberg and some local restaurants and also for driving to local sights and a couple that were not-so-local.
Beautiful hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. Room was modern and comfortable. Easy walk to shops and the trail to the waterfall is right across the street. Delicious food in the restaurant. Definitely would stay here again
Charming hotel just outside the busy tourist streets but close to waterfalls. Light room with big windows overlooking the valley (see photo). Friendly staff.
Our room was small, but had an additional sunroom off the side. It was nice to look out at the fog on the mountains. The hotel was up quite a steep hill, however. It might not be good for someone who cannot do that climb. It is very close to a beautiful waterfall.
The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient, The room was in their second building, was clean and comfortable with a city view. We were able to park right outside the door. We ate in the hotel and the food was v good regional fare though sad to say they had run out of Kirshtorte for dinner.. I would definitely stay there again..
Breakfast was good though price was higher than I expect. Parking was roadside just in front of entrance door, so it was convenient.
Room has mountain side chair and table, so very nice view!
Hotel location is very close to water falls. I knew water fall park entry free by check in the hotel.
We had a fantastic experience. Beautiful place, well located to town and waterfalls. Had option for breakfast and restaurant which was always busy we didn’t go. Very helpful young couple who helped us with our concerns and made accommodations for our needs. Highly recommend such cute, clean, cozy place. Thank you ❤️😊
This property is a family affair, and they do a great job of it. It’s clean, the staff were very friendly and the restaurant’s food was fabulous. Car parking was on the street which was a bit difficult, and it was about a mile outside of downtown. But this kept it quiet and did help with the street parking.
Some confusion with the check-in as we never received the information so did not know that we needed a code to get in.
We received assistance fairly quickly - a suggestion to improve the speaker system as it was hard to hear.
Great location - right across from falls and trail system.
There was an arrow on the door saying to go downstairs, so Entrance was confusing and staff was condescending when we finally got in. And wifi was only valid for 30 minutes per device with no option to purchase more time. But location was great and it was a nice room.
This property is in a good location and reasonably priced, but lacks customer relations.
We arrived several hours early and we’re told we could not check in until 3 - it’s the only place we couldn’t check in early, but it’s possible the room was not ready, so that’s not a big deal. It was obvious that we would go explore, especially since the waterfall is across the street.
We paid admission to the waterfall and museum while we waited only to find out the hotel gives a free admission pass to those to their guests. As a paying guest they could have given us the passes and told us to explore until the room was ready since we are their guest that day.
Good location close to most places in town. Room was updated and clean. Very close to the waterfall trails. Check in before going to the waterfall to get the pass.
Everything was great!
Best was the 2-min walk to the waterfall and 5-mins to the museum(town center).
When staying at this hotel you get free entry tickets to visit the waterfall and the museum.
Thanks for the great stay!
We stayed in this delightful family run hotel in Triberg for the night. The proprietors were so very helpful on our arrival and provided us with uncover parking for the motorcycle. We had a ground floor room in the annex building with a beautiful view of the town from the wonderful balcony area. The bed was very comfortable with crisp fresh linen and fluffy pillows. The bathroom was small but comfortable with good water pressure for the shower.
The hotel is well maintained and the garden and courtyard make for a relaxing place to unwind.
Be aware - there is no lift at this hotel due to the age of the property and there are many stairs and it is situated on a steep hill.
Hotel offers free admission to the Triberg Waterfall and the Black Forest Museum—both are in close walking distance. Just don't show up 20 minutes before check-in, or you'll be lectured.
We arrived very late at the hotel, but was able to contact the management to get our room key promptly. The room was cozy and offered an amazing view of the valley, I wish we had had the time to spend a few more hours in Triberg. The hotel is right across the street from the path to the falls, I do recommend taking the opportunity to visit.
This was our first stop in our Germany/Austria road trip. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and separate seating area. The windows fully opened to a gorgeous view over town. With the windows open you could hear the birds singing and the river flowing close by. Very close to downtown, walkable to many shops and a trail to the waterfall is right outside the door (up the steps across the street). We enjoyed a buffet style breakfast in the morning with many excellent food and drink options. We will stay here again on our next trip.
