"The apartment was a bit difficult to find, especially in the dark. Whilst it had everything we needed it was dated and could have benefitted from a deep clean, cobwebs & mould around the windows. The windows also condensed a lot in the morning. None of the heaters worked and only two of the electric storage heaters worked. "We stayed for the week so we could go to the Eisteddfod, they even found a space for us to store the harp. Room was clean and tidy, staff were friendly. We joined in the weekly quiz and weekly bingo. A good location and would stop again."

"The room we were allocated was very dated and tired. The mattress was old, sagging and not comfortable. The bathroom was equally poor with black mould on the paintwork, loose loo roll holder, insufficient loo paper for two guests over two nights and not restocked! The drench shower was right over the bath tap controls and not thermostatically controlled. My wife nearly got scalded trying to adjust the over bath shower. No warning that the hot water was extremely hot (as an experienced plumbing and heating engineer, I would guess the hot was over 60°C). No grab rail was provided to assist entry into the quite high bath. The worst were the selfish bar staff who where dropping empty beer kegs and emptying tubs of bottles in a skip right under our window until 23.40! Value for money was poor bearing in mind the nightly rate. To be totally objective, there was one positive which was the nicely cooked breakfast. However, even that was tempered by lack of catering for diabetics/coeliacs. No natural unsweetened joghurt and no fresh fruit! Please spend your money wisely and do not waste your money here."

"Having stopped at this hotel before, we knew it would be good. Rooms are large and decorated to a good standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful and food was also good. Only one small negative for me, was the mattress. If either me or my partner moved slightly, it would move the other person, almost like a water bed, which disrupted sleep a bit. The previous room we’d stopped in had a better mattress"
