We loved the location! It is right next to the city's main cathedral overlooking the port.
Close to everything. Walkable to all major ciry sites, rwatauranta and shopping
This is a lovely hotel in perfect position in Trani, overlooking the harbour and right next to the cathedral and ideally situated for a short stay whilst exploring the town and harbour whilst enjoying the numerous nice bars and restaurants. A couple of things to be aware of are that if you have a car, finding the hotel and parking is not easy as the streets around are only for town residents so I do think this could be explained in any literature the hotel offers to its visitors. However once you know. You can park on the small road on the approach to the harbour pier and this is free of charge so long as you give the hotel receptionist the car registration plate.
The receptionist did explain this but only after we found out the hard way.
Also the hotel WiFi kept constantly disconnecting but fortunately I have European roaming paid on my phone and also the room air con was poor, the fan blew the air around ok but I suspect the unit needs a refrigerant recharge as it wasn’t effective.
So these picky bits aside our room was extremely nice and quite spacious and had a balcony overlooking the harbour which we loved. Staff were courteous but otherwise didn’t offer much.
We did enjoy our stay here and thought the town of Trani is lovely with the quayside and small narrow streets behind. Well worth the visit.
We were planning to spend one night but upon arrival we decided to extend to three nights.
Just a fabulous hotel with a personal touch. We like the fact that the rooms still have actual keys.
A complete and utter five-star hotel experience. A small, 10-room hotel overlooking the sea, the old city, and an immense gorgeous old church. Everything — from check-in to our gorgeous room to the melt-in-your-mouth butter cookies they put out in an adorable lounge to the extraordinary breakfast — was superb. Brava! Bravo!
Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous town. Our stay was very relaxing. The rooms were so nice. Beautifully decorated, best port view, robes…
Everything is walkable which adds to the convenience. The hotel and the town are quite charming. There was a wedding reception at the hotel our second evening, no notice. So they closed the restaurant. Loud music starting right at 11pm til past 2am. A voucher for a nearby restaurant would have been a nice gesture in lieu of the inconvenience and the loud music .
This hotel is in an excellent position with easy parking (public parking) across from the hotel. Rooms were good and Netflix was available which was a plus. The restaurant was very good with excellent food and the staff were very good. My only complaint would be that we were there for 3 nights and could not get into the restaurant until the last night as there was a function on 2 of the 3 nights. I fully understand that the restaurant cannot rely on guests only and need functions to survive. However the hotel states it has a bar except guests could not use the bar while the functions were on. I do believe that if you advertise a bar it should be available to the guests at all times. If the functions needs to use the bar then maybe management should use the lobby as a makeshift bar for it’s guests. It is good after a day of sightseeing to come back to a hotel and get a drink and sit down somewhere to discuss the day. Being refused a drink because of a function and being told there were other bars in the area is a poor way to treat a guest. Saying that I do believe this is a management problem not as staff problem as they do not make the rules. I would definitely go back but I do hope that management looks at alternative ways to assist it’s guests when they have a function. They even have a place upstairs for coffee where they could offer drinks if they had a function in the restaurant.
