"We loved this place. The front desk staff were the epitome of southern hospitality. You couldn’t ask for a better location. There are a few restaurants and tons of shops within a couple blocks. Parking is mostly on street, but there was plenty of it. We had a suite. The bed was comfortable but very low to the ground. (If you have hip or knee problems you might need help getting up.) The room had a full kitchen and couch. They have a beautiful pool and mature landscaping. If you have fancy pants you’ll call it dated. But we thought it was WAY better than the Hilton we stayed at the night before."

"We knew about the ongoing construction but that really was not a problem. The swimming pool needed to be cleaned. Understand some sand in the bottom being that close to the beach but not all the bugs and debris floating around the top. The waffle maker needed to be cleaned. My waffle had burned flecks all over one side and definitely made it not taste to good. Other than that it was a good place to stay. A couple of the restaurants we wanted to try were right there within walking distance."
