They charged my credıt card for the whole stay amount even though I paıd fully for the stay ahead of tıme through Expedıa. As soon as the front offıce personel charged my card, I ınformed her that this ıs a mıstake and she should return the amount. She saıd she cannot do ıt. Instead, she said they will return the money to my bank account. I told her that this method will involve bank charges. She told me that they will also pay those charges as soon as I told them about the bank charge. After one month I received the amount minus the bank charges. When I informed them about the bank charge, they said they cannot compensate me.
I contacted the expedia help line, they said they will call the hotel.
opppppppppppA few days later, the manager Soraya sent me the following message: " Please accept our sincere apologies for the mistaken charge to your credit card and the confusion caused during the refund process. We fully understand your frustration, and we truly regret the inconvenience this has caused.
The refund of 383€ was processed via international bank transfer, as this is the only refund method available at our property. Unfortunately, any transfer fees applied by your bank are beyond our control, and we are unable to reimburse those charges.
We also regret that incorrect information was initially given to you regarding the refund of potential bank fees."
