The staff were incredibly welcoming and help organise a few trips out, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and spacious with everything well kept and air-conditioning to keep the humidity down.

This place far exceeded our expectations. Spacious room and comfortable bed helped make for a good night sleep. Grounds are beautiful and breakfast superb. All staff equally amazing, helpul and attentive. Recommendations for dinner, etc. were excellent.

Based on other excellent reviews and images of the Villa and rooms, our expectations were high. Thankfully we were not disappointed and everything exceeded expectations, from the initial warm welcome through to departure. Breakfast was super delicious with fresh fruit and freshly baked bread, croissants and local pastry delicacies. The setting (Villa, gardens, jacuzzi and Vesuvius in the background) was something special. Hosts Adi and Fabio and owner Antonio were all very friendly, readily available, offered great advice to experience the local area at its best, and always available to assist when needed. A much better experience than staying at a hotel. And whilst the Villa is near the E45 motorway, you don't notice the road noise, certainly not inside. Just how good a service really is, you will not truly experience until something goes wrong (not unlike a good insurance company). We had an unpleasant experience with our rental car following a puncture where our car was taken from us by a tow truck driver not speaking any English. Leaving us stranded without any transport to get to the airport the next day, Fabio helped us by speaking to our rental company in Italian on our behalf, and arranging a taxi transfer to the airport. Super! Fabio, Adi, Antonio – you have all been amazing and made our stay at the Villa a relaxed and wonderful experience. We wish we could give more than a 5-star rating here. Thank you for letting us be a guest at your villa. Grazie mille a tutti.

We had an amazing nights stay. The hotel is so unique, a real sanctuary! Fantastic views of Vesuvius and also the sea from breakfast. The rooms are decorated in keeping with the history of the building but with a modern and inventive twist. The breakfast was very nice too. But to top all of this, was the most helpful and friendly service from Fabio, which really made our stay.

Great location near the base of Mount Vesuvius located in between Herculaneum and Pompeii so if you wanted to do both you can. Great service excellent breakfast and very relaxing. We had a wonderful time there. Very peaceful if looking to getaway from the normal grind.

We really enjoyed the staff here as they were always asking how our excursions went and if we didn't have anything planned, they'd be happy to set something up for us. We got a tour of the property and the gardens when we arrived. Super quiet and relaxing place to stay!

Wir waren 10 Tage in der Villa De Cillis Carafa und haben mit dem Auto zahlreiche Touren unternommen (Neapel, Pompeji und der Vesuv sind in maximal 35 Minuten, die Amalfiküste in einer guten Stunde erreichbar). Die Villa befindet sich etwas außerhalb des Stadtkerns von Torre del Greco (Auto ist empfehlenswert, auch um Strand und Restaurants zu erreichen), verfügt über eigene Privatparkplätze und steht inmitten eines großen, wunderschönen Gartens mit diversen Sitzgelegenheiten und einem kleinen Whirlpool. Zwar hört man ein wenig die in der Nähe befindliche Autobahn, aber nach einem Tag in Neapel ist der Garten eine Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung… Das Frühstück ist (vor allem für italienische Verhältnisse) großartig: Cornflakes, Obst, zwei verschiedene Brotsorten, Croissants, diverse Kuchen, Aufschnitt, Käse, Joghurt, selbstgemachte Marmeladen, Eier etc. In der Villa selbst gibt es kein Restaurant, allerdings haben wir einen Abend das Angebot eines “ Vesuvian Tasting Menu” (Wein, Brot, diverse Käse-, Wurst- und Gemüsesorten, Salat, alles sehr lecker) angenommen. Und in Torre del Greco gibt es einige sehr gute Restaurants. An unserem Zimmer gab es nichts auszusetzen, die Betten waren angenehm hart, die Klimaanlage funktionierte gut. Möblierung des Zimmers fanden wir toll. Eigentümer und Mitarbeiter sind grandios. Alle sind stets freundlich und ansprechbar, kümmern sich und helfen zudem mit Tipps für gute Restaurants, Ausflüge etc. Wir können die Villa uneingeschränkt empfehlen!
