If you’re staying with a lager dog (mine is a springer spaniel) you’ll be put in one of the rooms under the Appleby’s bar. As a result the rooms are dated and in desperate need of updating, and being under the outside area of the bar it’s very noisy (Saturday night especially). I requested a room change and the manager was very accommodating and moved me to a room that was a lot nicer but still on the front below the bar because of my dog. Staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended local areas and restaurants to visit.

Clean and spacious room. Attentive staff. Breakfast good. We stayed during a very hot spell and the room was difficult to cool due to limited window opening. Otherwise a great stay

For a 1-night stay this hotel had everything we needed. Central location, easy parking, a spacious room with a comfy bed (and the added bonus of a sea view) and a tasty breakfast in the morning. My wife and I visit Torquay a few times and have stayed in most of the hotels in this price bracket - the Heritage has to be one of the best yet.

Rooms nice amd clean. Reasonable amount of parking. Nice sea view from the breakfast room. Some wind noise on breezy days, noticeable outside my room, no 7. Large bar with some functions at weekends, but the noise wasnt too intrusive. Overall an enjoyable stay
