Based on reviews and a quick check of the hotel website we had high hopes of a clean tidy hotel. On arrival all was seemingly well until we entered the room. Overall the room just seemed a bit tired and in need of a little love. The dated bathroom was damp smelling with dirty splash marks around the sink from the previous guests. There was a thick layer of dust around carpet edges and corners where it may have taken a little more time to clean. The coffee cups were adhered to the drinks tray with sticky runoff from the previous attempt at a rinse and the spoons were stuck inside the bottom of the cups with sticky mess. As the booking was made through a third party there was a charge for using the spa. This was not indicated anywhere in the hotel info on the third party sites. The hydropools were a little tired and the locker doors were missing so no facilities to safely store your belongings.

The staff were so helpful and friendly, obviously happy with their work and made us feel special. Lots of GF foods and no trouble to get items ie, gf bread rolls and sausages!

The view from the room was of buildings and a skip. The sink was cracked and the room too hot with no way of reducing.
