Tried to contact you to no avail THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED. HAS NOT BEEN OPEN SINCE FIRST LOCKDOWN. SUGEST YOU CHECK BEFORE OFFERING ACCOMMODATION. NOT A GOOD THING TO ARRIVE AT 3PM WHEN ITS GETTING DARK TO FIND DOORS ALL LOCKED AND PLACE IN A DELAPIDATED STATE .WOULD APPRECIATE SOME FORM OF REPLY FROM YOU

Hotel Closed.

Booked through Hotels.com to arrive and find hotel looking derelict and post piling up on floor inside locked doors, had to rapidly find two more rooms in a very busy Torquay. Not Amused.

The booking had been cancelled. They managed to find us a room. The room was dirty, cold & damp. A one hour window for breakfast was also not great.

The major downfalls were the poor quality of the Wifi and the fact that none of the consumables (e.g. shower gel, soap) were replaced at any stage during a long stay.

It was convenient to be on the ground floor with a parking space adjacent. The towel rail was rusted, there was very little space in the bedroom. The plug did not fit in the sink so the water ran away. Chaos and tables were very close in the dining room.

Clean and with friendly helpful staff.. Great view from the dining/breakfast room, over the bay. Decor a little tired, needs a lick of paint here and there. Good breakfast, could be a little warmer.

Great bank holiday retreat

Lovely location, a quick stroll to the beach, free easy parking, lovely big hotel, well maintained. Breakfast was great, however maybe not so much toast, so it’s not wasted. Staff so friendly and helpful. Lovely upstairs outside space (could do with a bar there!! ) The only let down I could find was my bin in my room was not emptied. Had a single room which was a single room, so not much space, but not complaining as it was clean and comfy. Thank you to all for making it a pleasant stay

Ok for the price but a bit rough around the edges and not many staff around. Breakfast was good. Free parking. Probably used to be really nice but it could all do with an update, eg cracks on sink, no headboard on bed, toilet stained etc. Room was also quite hot but we were on the ground floor with large windows people could easily get in through so couldn’t leave them open.

Clean, comfortable, great staff

From the moment I arrived the gentleman at reception couldn't have been more helpful - I'm disabled and was given a ground floor room. The building was beautiful and well looked after and the breakfast was spot on - thanks to the Marquis staff for an enjoyable stay and I will be back.
