Lovely old building with character and charm. Some people might find it run down, but I thought it was part of the charm. One room we stayed in had old carpet smell, but you got used to it after a few minutes and rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We booked this property for its convenient location to the subway ti get to Landsview park for Rogers Stadium and were very very impressed. Clean Easy check in Adorable spacious room in a beautiful historic building. Staff was very kind and helpful Great pub to pre game before a concert. 2 min walk to the subway. Would definitely recommend and stay again!!

The staff were lovely but the room, for the price, was basic and bedding was awful. There were bright lights pouring into the room all night long without room darkening curtains and it was difficult to sleep. I wouldn’t stay here again.

This was an excellent choice for our one night stay in the city to attend a wedding at Hart House. Although there was a very busy Pub located right next door, once we were in our room we could not hear a thing. The room was comfortable and the whole hotel is a shabby chique kind of place that was pretty cool looking. Would stay again when in town as the location is great and easy to get to with ample Green P parking right behind the hotel making it very convenient.

The bed was very comfortable. There were four minor issues: 1) Front desk is staffed only 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. This was mildly inconvenient for my checkin (added a kilometer detour to arrive at the hotel before dinner), but they allowed me to leave keys in the room for checkout, so that was fine. 2) The outlet for the desk was difficult to access. 3) There was a pair of 3-prong outlets for the coffee and tea pots. Only one of the outlets worked; again a minor inconvenience. 4) The toilet seat would not stay in the raised position unsupported. The room was fairly quiet, although I was aware of the pub entrance two meters from my door.

It's nice to stay in a house and not a big hotel. It was a little inconvenient to have to track down the manager at the Madison pub next door to get a key for the room. Our first night was quiet, however, the next two (Friday and Saturday) the music and young patrons from the pub were so loud and kept us up until early morning hours. We made a noise complaint with the police after calling the manager of the pub requesting the music be turned down. I would not suggest staying here on a weekend.

I was pleasantry surprised by the quality of this boutique hotel. It is adjacent to a popular university pub. Very convenient to hop on tjr TTC. Very nice walking in that area! Lots of sites.

We chose this place because we like to try quirky places. This is an old building, so as expected things aren’t always super modern or work as they should. We stayed in rm. 304. It was hot while we were there, no windows open but air was pretty good and the room had a ceiling fan. Bathroom is small and unfortunatel lots of hair in it, which tells me it wasn’t cleaned.

Vintage is a great word to describe this place. Party central with all the bars attached. But the rooms are clean and the ac works great. Bed was comfy. Great to drop your stuff off and explore Toronto and then come back and have a few drinks before bed. Staff was super friendly!
