Boutique Hôtel Caelus - Tongeren

A friendly welcome to hotel Caelus, a charming historic building. Comfortable room and good facilities. Nicely set up dining room and good buffet breakfasts. Tongeren old town is lovely with lots of interesting history. Lots of places to eat and drink and great shops.

This was an amazing property. The owner/operator was friendly and accommodating. The area is beautiful with nearby shops, restaurants, cafes, and a beautiful cathedral. I could not recommend it more highly. Fantastic boutique hotel.

Amazing central location! Right next to the Basilica and Museum. Our hosts are very friendly and it doesn’t feel like a commercial hotel, with a lot of personal attention coming from them throughout our stay. It’s a great base to be at while you explore the surrounding city of Tongeren. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to experience authentic Belgian hospitality.

It was my parents that staid in this hotel. But i did come inside to check it and it was a really nice hotel. Very nice staff and very nice room. Only thing My parents had to say was that they wish there was like a curtain or something for the bathroom in their room. It was open and no door so just something to cover would be nice but it wasnt something that bother them :) Parkings in general is not easy to find in Tongeren centrum. But they already said they will definitely stay at this hotel again when they come visit next time in Tongeren:)

Wonderful room on the third floor, that was clean and surprisingly spacious with and very comfortable bed. The owner was friendly and accommodating, and the location was convenient for dining, sight seeing and shopping. There are stairs to manage, but for us the spiral staircase added to the charm and gave a sense of privacy.

Weekendje Tongeren, oudste stad van België

Zeer sympathiek ontvangst door de eigenaar! Super centraal gelegen voor een bezoek aan Tongeren maar toch zeer rustig. Wij waren er tijdens het carnavalweekend en hebben niets gehoord van de festiviteiten. Zeer ruime kamer en badkamer met een aparte salonnetje. Voorzien van gratis koffiehoekje. Minibar, op vertrouwen, ter beschikking in de lobby. Zeer lekker uitgebreid ontbijt, kortom een absolute aanrader. Enige minpunt is de steile trap voor diegenen die niet goed ter been zijn maar er zijn verschillende kamers op het gelijkvloers dus gewoon even melden bij de reservatie én er is een bagagelift voorzien.

De ontvangst was uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam, de kamer was zeer luxueus met een uitstekend groot bed, een zeer luxe badkamer en een extra kamer. Aanwezig op de kamer een koffiezetapparaat, koffie, thee etc. Ook super was een schoenlepel en een doosje tissues. Tevens had deze accommodatie op elke kamer een TV. Het ontbijt was super heerlijk met keuze hoe dat je je eieren wilt hebben. De service en aandacht was perfect. Wellicht de volgende keer weer, het lijkt me sterk dat er in deze stad een beter hotel te vinden is.
