Cabin was clean and quiet off the Alaska Highway in Tok. The set up was odd, a series of cabins encircling a large house. Before arrival we received a series of bad tempered emails from the owner, telling us to make sure to arrive on the correct day, then to make sure to go to the right cabin, and last not to contact them (and that their phone would be shut off) at night. Maybe they had bad experiences during the summer but we did not feel welcome. We never met them or had any personal contact other than the bad tempered emails. Cabin was cold and it took over an hour to warm up after arrival. Coffee maker was a drip Mr Coffee type; but the coffee was all Keurig capsules, which don’t work in a Mr Coffee. Mattress was very soft, ok for us but not suited for bad backs. Very impersonal and vaguely hostile experience. Why be an innkeeper if you don’t like people? For an overnight stay it was just ok (the pickings are slim in Tok) but I’d not recommend it.
