Very welcoming owner. The cedar room was perfect for the couple days we were there. Bikes were available for use, beaches are 10 minutes away on them. Lots of info in the room about the area and what to do. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Blackbear Guesthouse has lots of comfort and stylish character. I was a solo traveler without a car but was able to take advantage of a seasonal bus service along the Pacific Rim Highway between Tofino and Ucluelet to get into both towns. The hospitable owners were also happy to give me a lift to Tofino if our journeys coincided. I used Pacific Rim Navigators to get a return trip from Long Beach Airport to the Guesthouse, which is not too far from the airport.

Awesome apartment, beautiful and spacious for a small group or family, so perfectly situated for everything to do and see in Tofino, and the Sound on one side and the beach on the other are just wonderful. The hosts are so lovely, really will only stay there next trips!

The property was in a beautiful setting, surrounded by trees and near the ocean. We walked to the beach in less than 10 mins. The suite was cozy, clean and everything we hoped for. We loved our stay!

Fabulous couple of days staying here. Amazing location with incredible views over the estuary and mud flats. Sadly rained most of the time we were there so no bear sightings but plenty of other things to do in the area. Apartment was extremely comfortable and wished we had booked it for longer.

Lovely quiet room with amenities of soap, shampoo, coffee, tea, mini fridge and a few dishes to use. Great guest deck overlooking the lagoon and bikes available to use for getting around.

Nice accommodation. Liked how bikes were included and it was a very short easy ride to the beach. House was stalked with everything you need to cook and the hot tub is nice to relax in. The guest house is very close to permanent residents. Found the mornings were quite noisy.

The property was beautifully furnished and comfortable. Complementary teas and coffees were welcome and toiletries supplied were of premium quality. The property was conveniently located to explore Tofino and was a short walking distance from a beautiful shoreline. The owners wer friendly and helpful. As there are 2 properties on the same site, be careful to check which you have chosen and the facilities associated.

Great location and very clean

Excellent location. Very clean. Very friendly owner. No complaints either than hotels.ca need to separate the two suites at this location (one being the Blackbear guesthouse and the other the cedar room). One has a kitchen and the other one does not. The place was perfect and we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful room, excellent locally crafted shampoos and soaps. Complimentary bikes and rain jackets. Very friendly and informative host. Close to beautiful Chesterman beach but a bit far from town and most restaurants however there is a free summer shuttle that runs until around 7-8pm. Overall a great time! Would book again.

It is literally a 5 minute walk to Chestermans beach which is amazing. The cabin was warm and inviting, the kitchen was well stocked and they even included an emergency bag if needed. Great host, very personable. The cabin is just inches from the main house so if complete privacy is what you’re after this may not offer as much privacy as some need. For our family though it was wonderful, the loft bed in the hidden little nook was really cool. Very nice place
