Grand Beach Mykonos

Grand Beach Mykonos

10/10 Excellent
"I spent 8 days in Mykonos and stayed at the Grand Beach hotel the entire time. I had a room with a semi-private pool at the top with a beautiful view of the bay, windmills, and Mykonos town. The beach is literally at the bottom of the hill and not crowded at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful when booking transfers. The breakfast buffet was decent (not the best but had a variety of options). The pool bar had good drink and lunch options throughout the day. However, food options were only available until 5p - it would have been nice if it was open later for dinner (like 8 or 9pm). It was a short walk to Mykonos town (~ 10 minutes) where there was a plethora of shops for snacks & drinks to take back to the room as well as souvenirs, and clothing (both casual and dress). There are so many restaurants and cafes from which to choose in the area. The food was delicious and the views are incredible! The only drawback to my stay was transportation. Since there is a limited number of taxis available during the busy summer season, sometimes you have to wait a long time. In addition, prices are high for even short distances ($36-40 for 2 for less than a 10-minute ride). As I mentioned, the hotel is only a 10-minute walk from Mykonos town but it is on a very busy road along the coast. There were lots of cars, vans, scooters, ATVs traveling at high speed. There are no sidewalks so pedestrians have to walk on the road with all the vehicles - BE CAREFUL at night!!"

"This was a forced strategy booking to tie ferry boat connections. 8min walk off the ferry to reception desk. First impression was crisp and clean modernity. A sharply finished property exceeded my expectations for the 3 night stay. Immaculate room with strange light switches. Pool was bright and towels from front desk. Staff was on point w/ hospitality and directions. Breakfast was standard fare buffet leaning Greek. Dinner shined with great flavor and large portions. Access to Mykonos Old Town was 12min by Sea Bus (water taxi) across the street. If you're tied to a ferry or cruise ship schedule this would fit perfect. Very highly recommended!"

"The rooms had an incredible view. The hotel itself is beautiful with many spots to sit and enjoy the views. The free shuttle to downtown is highly appreciated given the costs of transportation. The breakfast was very good with many choices and high quality food and drinks. We tried the restaurant for dinner as well and it was pretty good and the prices were reasonable compared to elsewhere on the island. Just a couple of comments: The pool was kind of cold, so we were reluctant to use it. This is despite visiting in mid-August. The beach was not a good alternative because it was too windy there, and it was hard to find seats if you go a bit late. It started emptying around 2-3pm. The jacuzzi was nice. Otherwise, it was a nice luxurious and enjoyable stay."
