"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first. 10/10 Excellent

"Having booked a four person room, I was very surprised on arrival to find that out accommodation was actually a two floor cottage with a kitchen. Very comfortable and spacious. Two televisions. One separate double bedroom on first floor. All lovely. Breakfast was excellent and not a buffet but plentiful. Overall highly recommended. Staff were all very pleasant also. If you are lucky you can park right outside your cottage otherwise there is a carpark very near."

I accidentally left something behind, but they handled it with such care and exceptional hospitality. I am so grateful for their warm support and highly recommend this hotel to anyone!"

"Fantastic hotel in a beautiful location. All the staff were very polite and the check-in staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The room was very clean with a lovely view across countryside. We stayed on a Sunday so had a roast dinner in the evening which was very high quality and a very generous portion. We got 30% of as my wife has a blue light card. This doesn't apply to drinks but includes food and accommodation so don't forget to bring yours if you have one. There is a good size free car park. You just have to enter your registration number on the tablet at reception. If you are an ale drinker they have Nethergate from near by Long melford that was superb. I would stay here again without hesitation."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially the restaurant staff. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the extra large, fluffy white towels in the bathroom. We slept very well. It was very peaceful. We had an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant. Both were good. The breakfast buffet was superb."

"Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is cooked to order and of an excellent quality. The staff are all helpful and efficient. The hotel is ideally situated for access to the town centre, Dad's Army Museum, bus station and is about 15 minutes' walk from the train station. The bar is welcoming and serves a good selection of drinks. There is a small outdoor courtyard area in which to sit if the weather permits. On the negative side, the hotel is definitely in need of some refurbishment and painting, plus replacement of carpets."

"Great as always… Lovely staff, easy parking and check in. Restaurants within walking area but their restaurant/bar is perfect… 30second walk from the hotel. Quiet and safe as you have to tap the card twice at the front and then room. I really like this hotel and will be staying many more times over the summer. Thank you"
