Stayed one night as was in Thurso for work.
Beautifully decorated old building. Entire place was absolutely emaculate. Two stunning lounge areas which wouldnt look out of place in a palace. Loads of books, great sofas.
Bed very comfy (loved the clan bedspread, excellent touch), sink in the room too which was a pleasant bonus (booked shared bathroom)
Bit of an old-school toilet, as you'd expect, so be careful there.
Very peaceful place, had a great night sleep.
Breakfast great, the options are really extensive - set me up perfectly for a long journey onwards
Host was lovely, attentive, but not overbearing - can tell she takes pride in what she does.
Honestly couldn't really pick out a single fault with my stay.
Would definitely book again and would highly recommend.
Firstly the staff (owner) was amazing, she was very kind and communicative. We booked the room with a “private” bathroom detached, which didn’t have a key to it and really would be able to be accessed by anyone, so I say private loosely. The mattress was incredibly firm and the pillows were like sleeping with a folded up sheet. I will say the breakfast was delicious with a lot of options. And the ease of driving to the ferry in Scrabster was nice/convenient
Great location for us seeing the north of Scotland. Some of the most amazing views in Scotland and the northern most beach in the UK. Victoria was the perfect host.
Very friendly owner greeted us on our arrival and showed us to our room. The space was roomy, well organized, and quiet. The common areas were very pretty and welcoming. We had to catch an early ferry and the owner made every effort to ensure that we had a good breakfast before we left. I would recommend this hotel.
A lovely warm welcome, beautiful decorated room, the most comfy bed of our whole trip, a stunning guest house with a lounge and a snug. Host was so accommodating for breakfast, we requested 7:30 as we had a ferry to catch, this was not a problem, porridge was made to order and delicious, continental selection was varied with plenty of options for every one. It was a shame we only stayed for one night.

Good hotel in small city
Nice clean room. Bed very narrow. A lot of noise from the road. Parking by the hotel. Very good breakfast.
The house is nice and clean. We had to check in late due to our luggage being lost and having to purchase new items before heading north. The hostess was not happy to have to wait to check is in at 9, but we skipped dinner to get there when we did. We drove 10 minutes to a Tesco and made sandwiches in the room. It was a neat experience. There was another guest who needed an early breakfast, so the hostess offered us a continental breakfast. The room wasn't overly spacious, but it was certainly large enough for a couple of nights.
A quaint former back house which exudes some old world charms with modern conveniences. On site parking. Friendly staff and excellent custom cooked breakfast. Dining options within walking distance. Convenient to the sights of North-East Scotland.
Elegantly appointed, well-kept B&B with spacious rooms and high ceilings pleasantly located in Castletown close to a good beach, Castle of Mey, John O'Groats and Thurso. A converted bank house dating back to the early 1900s, it has tasteful decor, an elegant sweeping staircase and is serenely managed by the lady owner who is very pleasant and provides a good breakfast. Good value, really enjoyed our stay.
Nice old property with big rooms, just outside Thurso, plenty of things to see and do in the area. Easy to find and plenty of off street parking. The hosts were nice and breakfast options are great
Wir haben den Aufenthalt in dieser speziellen Unterkunft sehr genossen. Das Haus ist aus dem Jahre 1905 und historisch. Gute Ausgangslage fürs Erkunden der Gegend. Freundliche Gastgeberin.
Sehr schönes Haus und Einrichtung. Gastgeber nett und zuvorkommend. Sauber, ruhige Unterkunft, gute Ausstattung.
Tolles Frühstück.
Absolut zu empfehlen!
