"Nice property. Older but well maintained. Room was comfortable for two people for one night we spent there. Good breakfast choices. Attractions are nearby. Parking is offsite in an underground garage two buildings away."

"The Pembroke Hotel is in a wonderful location in the center of Kilkenny. There is free parking but it is a bit tricky if you have a large vehicle. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Easy walk to many restaurants, pubs and the castle."

"This hotel is in the perfect location to enjoy Kilkenny. Walking out the door there are so many options for pubs to enjoy music and a pint. There are lots of shopping options also just outside the door. Parking is easy just a couple of mins walk from the hotel. 2 options, one in a parking garage and the other in a parking lot. We chose the parking lot as it was cheaper €12 for 24hrs. The included breakfast was wonderful. A lot of options to choose from. Cooked to order breakfast was quite good and the buffet with fruits, pastries etc was great. The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was good. I would stay at this hotel again if visiting Kilkenny and would recommend this hotel for sure."

"We had a comfortable stay in Kilkenny town, The most relaxing spot we found. Just steps away from the historic heart, Right where the local wonders start. The staff are welcoming, warm, and grand, Knowledgeable and close at hand. With fair-priced parking across the street, It makes the whole experience sweet."

"Had my wedding here in August and it was a DREAM!!! Sarah was the most wonderful host possible and made planning a wedding from the States a breeze. The estate is absolutely phenomenal. So much character and history, you will be in awe. You feel like you're in a movie. I did almost no decor for my wedding because the venue itself takes care of everything. The house is spotless and so comfortable. There's stunning views from every angle & window. As an American who isn't a fan of Irish food, this is the best cooking I've EVER had in Ireland (sorry to my Irish family) I still think about the food constantly. Sarah is extremely accommodating to her guest and just an absolute joy to be around. Truly no words can do this place and my experience justice. Pictures don't even do this place justice. this house has everything you could possibly need and is a very short walk into town as well. There's so much to do on the property and kids will have a blast there especially with all the animals! This was such a magical stay for me and made my wedding so special. In the future when I go back to Ireland, even though I have a place to stay with my family, I will make sure to stay at least one night back at the Lismacue house to see Sarah and think about how dreamy my wedding was. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING LISMACUE HOUSE & STAFF!!!!!♥♥♥♥ The best of the best!!"

"I’m not even sure where to start with this one. The facility itself is just beautiful. It’s huge. We ate in both of the beautiful restaurants there for dinners. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. We stayed in the two rooms in the school house. They were wonderful. Everything was walkable, and going up to the Rock of Cashel and then down to the Abby across the street was so much fun. We even spent a couple of hours reading in the drawing room next to the little bar. We loved our trip. It was a splurge, but worth it."
