"I have given this property a 1 star review because when we arrived at the property there were no towels.
We were not notified beforehand and only discovered the lack of towels via a letter that was at the property upon arrival. It stated that we had to pre-book towels for an extra charge per person and they were subject to availability. It was stressful. This may sound trivial, but it really isn't - towels are pretty essential.
The property is in the country, miles from any shops and we arrived at night. The letter also stated that we needed to pay extra for electricity. Again we were not notified beforehand.
I tried to contact the managers but they didn't answer their phones. When one of the managers knocked on the door later in the evening he was surly and unfriendly. He said that I should have known to bring my own towels and that I needed to take it up with the property owner.
I found the reservation information on Hotels.com which clearly stated that towels were included and didn't mention payment for electricity. I later received an email from the owner saying that I should have known.
It really spoiled the trip. I left a day early and booked to stay somewhere else instead.
The dishwasher didn’t work.
No basics were provided, e.g. tea, coffee, sugar.
The setting is beautiful and I'm sure it would be fine if you take your own towels and expect to pay extra for electricity.

"Could not have asked for a better stay. Deborah and her husband were a dynamic-duo offering such wonderful insight into the local area.
Incredible food, hearty portions and the room was truly beautiful. So well presented, warm and cosy!
Lovely bathroom and the products were such a treat. "
" The stay was comfort, place was clean, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean facilities. Small touches like a welcome pack, and flowers were great.
Furthermore breathtaking mountain not far away and green lush meadows, lakes and pine dense forests make it more attractive. "
"Beautiful well equipped cottage with large bedroom with wooden beams. When we arrived we were welcomed with fresh Devon cream tea in the fridge. Coffee, team and milk were also provided which was appreciated.
The garden is lovely and the birds said hello along with the owner’s dog and cat which were nice and friendly.
The cottage is well positioned for touring around Cornwall. We visited St Ives, Port Issac and Boscastle during our stay. The hosts are extremely hospitable and gave us a lift from a local wedding venue in the evening to collect us and in the morning so we could collect our car. That really was above and beyond and greatly appreciate- thank you."
