With less water flowing, guides take you 3 to 4 miles up the canyon with some spots having to portage. But take it all in stride because the views are breathtaking. I recommend Big Bend River Tours. You might get lucky and have the guides that take you a half mile up a side canyon. An excellent day excursion in the out of the way national park.

  • The Closed Canyon hike in Big Bend Ranch State Park was completely deserted when we went on a Tuesday in April. We hiked further than the 0.7 mile indicated on the signage, and ended up scooting and scrambling up the most interesting narrow and smooth chutes. We heard the song of the elusive canyon wren, too. The location is only 4 minutes drive to Big Bend which is a big plus for us. We stayed there 4 nights, and the host is responsive and keep the trash in our room cleaned every day. The check in and check out thrue texting is also convenient for us because we check in late and check out early thanks to the smart door lock. The layout is practical and in room appliances (microwave, fridge, hair blower) are also help us staying in there for easy breakfast and dinner. Overall, I recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay at Paisano Village RV Park and Inn. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. There is a grocery store nearby, and our hosts provided a list of recommended nearby restaurants. We would definitely stay there again!

The hotels are having trouble giving me the room I book on here. They are saying it’s Expedia who is putting me in a non wheelchair accessible room. When I have specifically requested ada and roll in shower. One hotel had a different price and tried to charge me saying it was something I had to take up with Expedia. Make sure my request for a wheelchair accessible room is in fact wheelchair accessible. Make sure hotels are getting your voucher.

We stayed here two nights while visiting Big Bend National Park. This place was just outside the park in a quiet area with restaurants nearby. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. Coffee in the room was an unexpected addition to our stay. We will definitely stay here again should we return to the area.

Great location, good communication, close to gas and market. The bed was really comfortable and the room was spacious. They serviced the room, which was an unexpected service. Shower was clean, but grout needs some extra attention. Overall great experience!

I really enjoyed my four-night stay at the Emory suite. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious, and in very new condition. Everything felt new and comfortable, and I especially appreciated having fresh new towels every day. Overall, it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience, and we would definitely come back again. One small suggestion: it would be helpful to have a chopping board and scissors available.

The Casita was comfy and convenient to Big Bend, Terlingua Ghost Town and Big Bend Ranch State Park. We enjoyed sitting outside by the fire pit and watching the stars that shone so brilliantly in the dark night sky. The accommodations were clean and well equipped. The only thing missing was a tv, but we did not come to the area to watch tv.

AWhat a lovely room with a cozy bed and an amazing shower! The location is perfect for visiting Big Ben National Park. I definitely suggest staying at this charming Inn.

Stayed in the Emory suite, place is beautiful, clean, and spacious. Suite had a fridge, electric stove top, microwave and toaster oven. No actual oven but the toaster oven was perfect. We cooked pizza in it and toasted our bread for sandwiches. Kitchen has pans/utensils to cook, small coffee maker. Bed was firm and very comfortable. TV and books about Big Bend in room. Great WiFi. Close to the Big Bend NP entrance. There’s a store a few minutes away where you can buy groceries. The night sky view was amazing! Would definitely stay here again. We stayed in 2 other places (Chisos lodge and another inn nearby) Paisano RV Village was definitely our favorite place to stay at.

Super clean, responsive owner. We came in at night and couldn’t find the casitas. Maybe put the directions in the response email. We were looking on the wrong side of the road which also belonged to the owner. Comfy bed!

We had a great stay in the Emory Suite. It was clean and comfortable and the perfect size for our family of four. We loved how close it was to amenities as well as Big Bend. We would definitely stay there again!
