「Beautiful surroundings and room amenities. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. We tried the spa and sauna, which was good for a relaxing vacation. Not many dining options around and we stayed in the hotel restaurant for dinner, A bit expensive than average but affordable. 」

「Excelente Hotel Rural em pequena quinta nos arredores de Penafiel. Edifício muito bem recuperado e com excelentes instalações e comodidades (piscina com uma fantástica vista). 「Incredibly beautiful, restored ancient property; rooms are palatial and the design is impeccable. The AC didn't work while we were there but we survived with a giant fan that the hotel offered us!」

「Staff at the hotel were superb.. I read some of the comments about five star hotel in previous reviews while the hotel itself may not be a five-star the staff and the service is easily five-star… I laugh at some of the comments…. if you want little slippers and matching housecoat, look like a prince and princess, then go to Palace… the meals were suburban with the first class chef from Brazil… when I came to the restaurant bar you couldn’t want more for service and quality…. awesome place for...

「What can I say about this hotel it’s set in the beautiful Douro valley on the river front surrounded by the mountains, in Porto Antigo, the staff are very friendly and helpful the bar is well stocked and the food is very good. We would definitely recommend it and will return in the future. 」
