The hotel has beautiful grounds. The rooms are comfortable and very traditional. The breakfast was fantastic with the best orange juice I have ever had, which they make from their own crop. A great stay with the family in Tavira.

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation has the authentic look and feel of Portugal so you immediately feel at home. The hosts and staff are super friendly and helpful. You can walk to the center in 10 minutes and to the train station in less than 5. Tavira is a nice town that does not feel crowded or touristy.

We have stayed at the Quinta do Carcol several times and we love it. Each cottage is unique and well equiped and set in beautiful well kept gardens. The staff are all really friendly & helpful. Its an easy 10 minute walk walk into Tavira, a lovely Portugese town with lots of restaurants to choose from. We will definitely be back.

Good size bedroom,with separate kitchen area. Each accommodation had their own patio area. Lovely bathroom products . Staff always available, as reception open until 11pm. Free tennis courts. Pool is very small.

Pros: housekeeping and kitchen staff were very nice. Breakfast was good. Grounds were unique. Plants, trees, and shrubs were well maintained. Cons: the property was next to a very noisy road making it difficult to enjoy outdoor space. Signs were posted in the bath room requesting patrons to not flush toilet paper down the bowl and instead to place soiled toilet paper in a small waste basket.

Beautiful place and lovely people

This is a gorgeous place. Well laid out in lovely gardens with your own little cottage. The cottage itself had a small kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with agreat walk in shower. All beautifully furnished. Breakfast was included and we were offered a choice of eggs as well as croissants, pastries, coffee etc. Very easy walk down to Tavira which we loved. Finally the owners and staff were all kind and helpful. A 5 star experience all round. Thank you everyone.

The property owners are so kind and accommodating. I asked about their laundry services and they offered to wash and dry/iron them for us and return them to our room the next day. The room was very cute and had everything we needed.

This was our favorite place in the Algarve! Not only is Tavira a lovely town, not so built up like all the others, but Quinta de Caracol is a soothing oasis. Yes, a bit of a walk into town but very doable but it's lovely, quiet, the rooms are each different and so comfortable. The grounds and small pool so wonderful for relaxation. And the two sisters who run it so kind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Great stay

We spent two brief but enjoyable nights at Quinta do Caracol at the end of November. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and the space was great, clean and comfortable. There were two bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and great communal living area and kitchen. With a Lidl and Aldi both within walking distance it was convenient to pick up some groceries for breakfast and snacks for our stay. The property was serene with lots of water fountains, birds and orange trees. A very peaceful location and easily walkable to the city center, the location and value were perfect.

Like a country estate

Lots of places to sit by a fountain or in a garden. It felt like a stay at a country estate - only a 10-minute walk from town center. Loved the distant view of the sea from near the pristine tennis courts. A former family farm - there is still a small orange grove, chickens, a peacock, parakeets and even a family of guinea pigs much to my amusement and delight! Very clean, comfortably furnished. Wonderful breakfast - warm croissants, eggs cooked to order, plus much more! Great staff!

Absolutely beautiful place

The most beautiful place for a holiday in Tavira. We stayed in the room Papoila, which was meant for two people, but we had an extra bed for our teenager, and it worked well. The room was spacious and clean (cleaned on a daily basis) and had a small functional kitchenette with a fridge and small freezer. Furthermore, we had the best working and silent air conditioning ever! Pool and garden area was really cosy. Not the biggest pool if you bring smaller children, but for 15+ it was perfect. Breakfast lovely with freshly made orange juice and a great variety of bread, fruit etc. The owners and the other members of staff made us feel welcome and were always happy to help and give us good advice and recommendations. Quinta do caracol is only a 10-minute walk to the centre of Tavira with shops and restaurants.

Wir hatten eine große Wohnung mit 2 Schlafzimmern in einem kleinen Häuschen. Wir hatten viel Platz, da wir nur 2 Personen waren.Unser eigener Sitzplatz im Freien und der Garten waren sehr idyllich. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, hier ist der frisch gepresste Orangensaft hervorzuheben. In ca. 10 Min. war man zu Fuß im Zentrum von Tavira. Parkplätze, zum Teil mit Sonnensegeln, waren ausreichend vorhanden.
