This is a great choice for guests traveling with a dog. The staff is very nice and the rooms are large. The breakfast was good, though not ‘rave-worthy’. We would stay again.

We’ve stayed here almost every year for 20 years. Each stay is excellent. Clean rooms, comfy, fluffy beds, friendly staff, delicious breakfast and reception. Can’t recommend this place enough! It’s the only place to stay in Taos! Great for couples, families, pets, everyone!!

Beautiful, old New Mexican style Adobe/Pueblo motel, well maintained, with full hot, breakfast buffet, which we ate on the outside veranda in a gorgeous garden area. Want to return there someday to spend more time in the Taos area!

Do Not Judge a Book By Its Cover...it also applies to this Wonderful Hotel. Did Not Look Like Much. But, once in it's Very Comfy, Clean and Has a Wonderful Garden. The Breakfast is Way More than just Yogurt and Cereal. It is a Full Breakfast with Authentic New Mexican Cuisine. You can enjoy your Breakfast at the outside Garden Area. Highly Recommend this Hotel. We stayed at an awkward time when the roads required us to circle the neighborhood in a one way loop every time we came or went. Also, it’s a few months since we stayed. With those caveats in mind, I would still recommend the place. Warm cookies in the afternoon/evening. Pretty good hot breakfast in the morning. Rooms have an entrance/exit patio on both front and back sides, which was nice. The “back” patio (shared 2nd floor balcony in our case) looked out over the grassy quad. I can’t remember if there was a pool; maybe it was the off season.

Great breakfast in a nice outdoor atmosphere. Room was beautiful. We were relatively close to the road, but did not hear the traffic. The bed was a bit squeaky, and the A/C was loud, but we slept well overall. I would stay again.

Property is at the edge of town across from an abandoned former hotel. One can walk into town but perhaps not such a good idea late at night. One has to temper one's expectations. this is a "LODGE" (says it in the name). So, if one is ok with the rustic kind of lodge one finds in resort areas for fishing and hiking then you will think it fine. There is a place for your own grilling (bring the necessary items to do it), decent size refrigerator in the room and plenty of countertop space including one separating the kitchenette area from the rest of the room. Microwave, etc. No plates or utensils so again have to bring with or buy disposable. Plenty of wood for the fireplace as well as fire-starter and long matches (so they expect you to use it)-though it's mainly for show as the flue is not adjustable to heat the room in winter. Usual motel AC setup so rather noisy and tempremental. Decor is, like the room, something out of the late '70's early '80's. Pretty much a time capsule and a bit worn but functional and cozy. Separate pool area so is quiet and excellent parking. Didn't partake of the buffet breakfast but it is offered. Grounds are pretty/pleasant with many ornamental plants and variety of established conifer trees.

For many years, we've loved this little hidden gem! From the 1st step into the lobby you're greeted with chocolate chip cookies and a beautiful smile. El Pueblo Lodge is like a mini retreat landscaped as if you were home! Soft green grass, outdoor spaces to chill, beat your husband in cornhole or horseshoe, swim, hot tub, suntan, bbq a meal AND an easy walk to town if you choose to shop or find live music @ The Alamo (another star winner). Fully loaded tasty breakfast of tamales, green chili, bisquits, gravy, eggs, meat, danishes, and really good coffee!! Happy hour doesn't disappoint with crunchy chips and spicy salsa!! Our favorite place for sure!
