Resort style hotel
Yes the hotel is dated - but everything else over compensates ! The hotel is genuine beach side with a lovely beach area and pool area for guests. Tranquil garden setting that is so relaxing. Every room has their own garden or balcony and rooms are spacious. The staff were amazing ! The free shuttle to Taormina at all hours is so handy

We liked the shuttle to Taormina, which was very convenient, as was the free parking! The staff was lovely and everything was clean. The property was beautiful.

Weird cruise ship vibe!
The private beach was great and was really the only reason you’d stay at this hotel. Although you got harassed by people selling stuff who wouldn’t take no for an answer and you need to pay 3 euro for a towel. The beach bar had VERY limited food options and there isn’t a bar by the pool (perhaps this hotel is pitched at elderly cruise ship types who don’t want cocktails by the pool). Breakfast was below average. Mostly pastries and cakes that were frozen. Issues with the Wi-Fi connection. Shuttle bus - limited service, generally on time but it does leave early sometimes. The driver also dropped a lady who could barely walk at the top of the hill in the dark and I asked if he could drop her at the door which was ignored by him and then he drove down past the door to turn around anyway. Very random shuttle bus service as some nights they would drop you at the door. It you take a taxi to town it’s 20 euro. Definitely can’t walk into town. It’s over 4 kms and you can’t actually walk on parts of the road so it would be unsafe to do so. Overall the hotel was average. Guess it depends what you are looking for in your stay. I definitely booked the wrong hotel.

Hotel was clean and room was modern and well appointed. The staff accommodated a room change to the side of hotel with a view on night 2 which made a big difference. The beach is great - quiet and relaxing. Breakfast good quality buffet style. Beach bar food was not the best standard or variety but plenty of nice lunch options at places along the beach from the hotel. The minibus service to/from Taormina was really good - took the hassle and cost out of taxis.

On first look I was ehh maybe a not a good choice. But the customer service was great. The main floor rooms and outdoor space terrific. Dining room staff was also great. Their advice on a guide to take to argiento at dusk dead on. Negative a hard bed, a personal issue. All in all 4,5 out of 5

Lovely hotel with very comfortable and clean rooms. The staff are very helpful and kind. Close to the beach and they provide a frequent free shuttle service to the main town. Incredble gardens with beautiful palm trees and flowers. Strangely the trains run right past the hotel but a high hedge covers the view and they dont really affect the lovely experience of staying at the hotel.

Great hotel with nice rooms, lovely gardens, a great pool. Nice interior touch with perfumed hallways The breakfast food is tasteless. The staff can be nice but they don’t speak English except at the main desk. The food at the beach restaurant doesn’t offer anything proper.

Great location in Taoromina!
Comfortable hotel right on the beach. Free shuttle to the city of Taoromina every night - 10 minutes ride. If you are interested in enjoying both the beaches and the town of Taoromina this is a good place to stay!

Don’t let the pictures fool you. The hotel needs a facelift. Although the room was a nice size and the bathroom was updated, the common areas were outdated. The carpeting was old and dirty. The Wifi hardly worked at all in the room, but worked very well in the lobby. The elevator was very old and took forever to come. Thankfully we were on the third floor, so we found it faster to take the stairs. The restaurant staff were very professional and accommodating. Couldn’t say the same for the front desk clerks. They nickel and dime you. You’re not allowed to bring hotel towels to the beach, but can rent them for 3 euro per person, per day. I never saw a plastic runner on the beach, which was pebbly. The shuttle to tauromina ran smoothly and on time. Keep looking, over priced for what you get.

Where to start. Pros: beach-fronted (pebbly, bring beach shoes), nice restaurant & event space by beach, waitstaff v. pleasant, nice dining room (continental breakfast, pretty decent) Cons: Bait & switch occurred on arrival with room. No offer to refund difference or so much as an apology. Eventually verbally promised a refund - never materialized, so no integrity. I was not the only one this happened to. Lack of customer service to 'make it right' shocking. A train runs in front of the hotel between it & the beach, so be prepared when sitting on your balcony enjoying the view for it to rumble by multiple times a day. There's also a nightclub, & it runs until 2am on certain nights so be warned. The hotel itself is a 10 min drive into Taormina. A shuttle runs infrequently, otherwise 20 euros in taxis each way. Small details make all the difference, which this hotel sadly lacks especially as this was NOT a cheap option - 75% of front desk staff really couldn't care less, no coffee maker, no iron in room (you have to pay to send to laundry), they charge 3 Euro/day for beach towels & extra to sit on first two rows of loungers on beach (seriously). Overall, the place is looking tired and showing it's age. If they could get over the constant need to charge you for everything at every turn & ramp up their customer service, it might have all been such a better experience. If you do stay here, lower your expectations & expect to pay more than it's worth. A 3 star experience at best.

Stayed here for 3 nights in June with my husband. The immediate area of the hotel doesn't have anything to offer. Taormina itself is beautiful but not walkable. There is a shuttle that goes from and returns to the hotel at certain times. There is however limited availability so it must be booked. The hotel is very dated and needs a complete revamp. The pool area is nice but again dated. There is a charge of €3 per day for a towel which is ridiculous. Should these not be free when you're paying €180 a night?! The food at the beach bar is average and overpriced for what it was. The breakfast was minimal but kept in line with what we've seen in other hotels in Italy. The room and bathroom were clean. Overall I wouldn't say that we were very impressed with the hotel. I would recommend for people to stay within walking distance of Taormina as it really is beautiful with stunning views.

Yes nice hotel close to beach. It was the restaurant staff that let ig down. Particularly the one night. Just dreadful service and restauslmosg empty. Maybr thats why it was poor but service truly awful. Nog good enough for supposed 4 stars. Not a 4 star restsaurant.

This is a nice hotel on the beach, but the beach isn't great. Dark volcanic sand and lots of stones. The hotel has a nice beach restaurant, but breakfast has a selection of poor quality food. It is not possible to walk into the centre of town. The hotel does provide a shuttle at certain times during the day. The shuttle is available on a first come basis, otherwise it costs £15 each way for a taxi into the centre of town.

Stayed here for 9 nights in a superior room with sea view. Good sized balcony, could not see the beach only sea view due to the train line in front of it. The train did not bother us that much as they only had a few carriages except for the occasional goods trains witch were quite long. The room was a reasonably good size with a nice sized bathroom. However the beds were on the firm side and the air con was on the noisy side. Nice dining room, breakfast was adequate with a reasonable choice to suit most people. The shuttle bus was necessary to get to Taormina where we mostly ate out at night, plenty of restaurants to choose from, as we did not want to eat at the hotel. Did not use the beach as there is only steps down through the tunnel, not suitable for disabled or people with walking difficulties, as is the slope to the main road, hard to push a wheelchair up if not a fit person. the pool looks nice in the hotel pictures but has seen better days and needs some maintenance around the edges and the cover needs painting and the Perspex cover is old and needs upgrading in my opinion. The cover was only partially opened , this made it look worse than it should. The gardens were lovely and the gardeners should be congratulated for there hard work! Hotels on Sicily are expensive and as such you may not get what you expect for the price you have paid. All the staff are helpful and pleasant.

The hotel was clean and modern, the rooms were cleaned daily, the staff were all really friendly and helpful and went out of there way to make you welcome. The pools and beach are lovely, plenty of beds. The breakfast was good. They have a free shuttle to tarmina which goes every hour and only takes about ten minutes to get their. Tarmina is stunning. There is another little town just down the beach which has bars and restaurants that are much cheaper than tarmina and it's lovely their too. There is a hop on hop off bus that takes you to the local sites, the godfather tour ect, this tips outside the hotel, this is cheaper if you just pay on the bus it cost us ten euros for the whole day, I would recommend doing this. The only negatives are there is a few steps to walk to the beach so if your in a wheelchair this would make access to the beach difficult. There is also quite a noisy club on a Friday and Saturday but depending on where your room is this might not effect you. We aleady knew about the club before we went and it does finish by about 3pm so wouldn't put me off staying.
