The Barossa House was wonderful - the owner Sophia so welcoming and friendly - the bedroom was very clean, well equipped, and had everything we wanted & needed.
I booked this for my parents. They said it was very comfortable and homely. Reminded them of how accommodation used to be - quality and personable. The host Sofia was very hospitable, really lovely. They enjoyed breakfast of fresh home cooked bacon and eggs with freshly brewed rich coffee with the charm of yesteryear sitting around a large dining table altogether with the other guests enjoying happy & friendly conversation guests. A very pleasant overnight stay in the Barossa indeed
The hospitality and warmth is beyond compare. The property is very central to major dining areas, wineries, Main Street and very quiet, very safe and picturesque.
This was one of the most welcoming experiences we have ever had. Sofia really does make you feel as if you're family. Her knowledge of the nearby vineyards was invaluable to us. Our breakfast and send off were beautiful.
Barossa House was a very pretty and comfortable place to stay. Sofia, the owner, was wonderful and made us the most delicious breakfasts for our stay of four nights. The only negative was the small bathroom but other than that, would definitely stay again.
The owner Sophia is a very warm person. She keeps the house clean and elegant. Breakfast is excellent. The house is located near the central area of Barossa Valley. We had a very pleasant stay at the house.
This is a great place to stay while exploring the Barossa. The Eucalyptus suite was very comfortable with a small but adequate bathroom. We liked having a separate entrance so we could come and go without disturbing any other guests. Breakfast was lovely. As we had an early checkout, we appreciated the option of a light breakfast in our room before we left. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
Had two wonderful nights at Barossa House, it was very well located to both vineyards and towns.
The check in was very easy.
Sophia made us feel at home with nothing to hard for her.
Breakfast was excellent
Would definitely stay there again if we get beck to the Barossa.
Barossa House suited us perfectly ! It was a short drive to everything we wanted to see snd do .. The Hosts were both welcoming and very nice ,we enjoyed their company. It was a lovely stay. Our room was nice , although a few stairs.
We would recommend a visit for sure.
Wonderful old house with a mixture of old and new decor. Although located on a main road, we were unable to to hear any traffic noise inside so was extremely peaceful. Ideal property when staying with friends due to multiple bedrooms.
Happily stay again š
Our host Sophia made us feel at home from the minute we walked in, and she was unfailingly kind, warm and helpful. She made a special effort to help us become familiar with the region and made great suggestions for places to visit, including wineries and restaurants. The room was charming and impeccably clean, and breakfast was delicious. Our only regret was that our stay was too short!

We loved our stay at this property. Sophia is so welcoming and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble even offering pick ups etc if required from the lovely town of Tanunda. Breakfast on the verandah is such a good way to start the day with excellent presentation and taste - you may not want to leave! A pre dinner drink back on the verandah watching the sun set and world passing by is highly recommended. All in all - a fabulous stay - thank you Sophia - your hosting skills are exemplary.
We were visiting Barossa Valley for one night and got to the hotel early, as we were being picked up by our wine driver for a tour. The owner came out and greeted us and offered to make us coffee. She also let us in to the room early. She was friendly and very welcoming. The room was adorable and the whole property was lovely. The next morning another woman working at Barossa House greeted us when we left the room and insisted on making us breakfast. She was so friendly and kind. It was a great experience and we wish we could have stayed longer.
The house and our room were thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. The host was excellent as was our breakfast. Comfort, cleanliness and a little bit of art deco glamour. A lovely stay with Sophia.
