"We really enjoyed our stay in the lagoon paradise resort and even decided to stay one day longer than initially planned. You can enjoy the breakfast (as well as dinner) in the nice beach restaurant with a great view. We booked a cabana which was located near the swimming pool. We would definitely recommend the hotel to anybody who visits Tangalle! Special thanks also to the staff (especially Weerasena & Thisara) who were more than welcoming."

"This hotel has basic amenities and it's proximity to the beach is wonderful. The service is exceptional and the people who work there are so wonderful. This is not a luxurious hotel by any means, but would I stay here again, yes I would. Basic comforts were provided, including a mosquito net over the bed and a mosquito repellant plug in (much needed for the third friend who didn't have a mosquito net over her single bed). "A very nice Hotel with only 7 rooms but a really outstanding service and 'family' concept where the entire staff is striving to make your stay perfect and exceptional. A good place to relax and unwind including a super delicious restaurant. Only thing you have to be aware of, that there is absoultely NO tourism infrastructure around this place! "Elegant and a very beautiful super large villa with excellent maintenance. Very clean and comfortable rooms with modern bathrooms . Natural showers are something unique. Sea-bath was fantastic. The karaoke facility was a pleasant surprise and it was such good fun after dinner, which gave great entertainment to our small group . Breakfast was fabulous. Our stay was 5 star. Amazing place. "Our stay at Maya Tangalle Manor was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is wonderfully quiet, with elegant décor and a beautiful room that opened onto a private patio. The garden is stunning, filled with magnificent, towering trees and peaceful rice paddies that create a truly serene atmosphere.

"The hotel was substantially abandoned: the beach bar and restaurant featured in the Expedia listing had been demolished, and I saw only one staff member during my stay, a lady with slight English. When I left at 10.30 on Tuesday morning no-one was around.

"Wasn't very clean especially the bathroom. No where to place anything in the room, had to use floor. Poor lighting in room, only I of 3 lights worked. No toilet roll or soap provided, had to ask for toilet roll. No dustbin in room or bathroom. This is a homestay, not a hotel.
Breakfast was good and they attanged a scooter hire for me.
Sadly when I went to leave things turned nasty by both the father and son, claiming I needed to pay for the room and breakfast. I booked via Hotels.com a company...
