By far the worst hotel experience in my 31 years of life. Biggest waste of $200- HUGE RIP OFF. Less than a week before our stay we were notified that the pool, both bars, and restaurant would be closed for renovations. Unfortunately they only took $25 off the price for us, making the stay now $198. Expedia didn’t give me the option to cancel the stay. We got to the room and it stunk and there were huge stains on the couch. One that looked like urine and the other looked like blood. There was also tons of hair and dirt all in the carpet. We went down to complain but didn’t even need to say much. the front desk guy seemed used to just moving people to other rooms based on how quickly he upgraded us to a suite with very little convincing. We were upgraded to suite but it was just as filthy. Bugs crawling in tub, large yellow stain on sheets, suspicious brown stain on box spring. Weird smell. When attempting to sleep, the fitted sheet kept coming off of the mattress which was horrifying with how filthy everything was. But despite the filth, sleep was impossible due to noisy church bells chiming all night and the sounds of what I think were cars thumping over the nearby bridge. It was a $200 stay that had the cleanliness of a pay-by-the-hour motel.

We chose this expecting a Hilton and was gravely disappointed. My list... there was mold in our shower and shower curtain, the rugs were torn throughout the room, our tub didn't drain, the bathroom door was swollen and handle broken so we got trapped in the bathroom every time we used it, the main door on the other hand wouldn't close unless we slammed it. Our coffee machine was broken, the replacement was just dropped off in our room but the broken one was left connected. Front desk acted sooooo surprised with all the complaints. We were there 2 nights, 2 days. on the second day we went for breakfast with a very limited menu. turns out they were shutting down to remodel. This was NOWHERE to be mentioned yet they charged FULL PRICE comparable to the other Hilton one block over. We went to check out UTampa and this was the worst hotel experience! Gross

This hotel is under renovation. The pool was drained. You could go next door to the Aloft and use their pool. It was crowded and is small, but did the job. The restaurant bar they spoke of had a wood plywood piece of wood as the bar. The hallways had ironing boards and miscellaneous furniture in it. The carpet is coming up. The rooms are old. Walls just drywall. This definitely was not the atmosphere we were looking for, we checked out a day early. The staff was very helpful and kind.

Parking was terrible. Couldn't locate the self parking lot that is apparently within a couple of BLOCKS of the hotel so we had no choice but use the overpriced valet parking. Very nice valet guys, though. Had no idea the hotel is undergoing major renovations so we were walking through construction to get to/from our room. The term "lipstick on a pig" describes our room. Also, the street noise was horrible. Don't do "city view" if you can avoid it. Staff overall were very friendly. Beds were ok. Towels were decent. Should have just stayed outside of the city for a lower rate.

The first couple nights were fine. The pool and pool bar were fun, the proximity to the Riverwalk was great. On the third morning, we woke up to find that the hotel was starting a renovation project. The lobby was cleared, the pool was drained, and there were construction workers and machines everywhere. Nobody warned us that this was coming. We had planned to enjoy our last full day at the pool and instead had to spend a couple hours arguing with Hilton to get compensated, which was unsuccessful. None of the hotel employees seemed to care that everyone was majorly inconvenienced. We ended up having to switch to another hotel for our last night. Sadly, I would never go back here.

There was no airport shuttle like Expedia page says, very misleading. Bathrooms need updating, mold. No vent. Lobby in middle of remodel. No wash cloths. But this was on Riverwalk, great location.

Hotel Tampa Riverwalk has an amazing location… and that’s about where the positives stop. The rooms feel very outdated — worn carpets, chipped paint, tired furniture, and bathrooms that are overdue for a full refresh. It honestly feels like the hotel hasn’t been touched in years. Service didn’t help the experience either. We requested basic housekeeping items multiple times and never received them, ending up hunting down supplies ourselves. If you only care about being in the heart of the Riverwalk, it works. If you care about the actual hotel… manage expectations.

Room did not feel clean. Floor dirty. Room felt run down. Bartender at main bar was so not helpful or welcoming. Couldn’t make any drinks because “the bar was closing permanently a couple days later”. Great location is the best I can say!

I had a child in the next room that was nonstop for over 5 hours. I asked to move my room, and I felt that the woman who was working the night shift was completely unsympathetic to my situation. I was speaking to someone else, and she injected herself into our conversation. I would only want people to know that this is a hotel that caters to families, that is ok. I just don't need the manager stating that my needs are also not important.

Hotel itself is dated,no room service . Veiws from balcony the staff and location saved the day. The food at the restaurant was better than expected and the pool bar is a great time .with live music on pool deck or dj made for good evenings. Walkable to downtown parks and bars

Room and pull out bed that was supposed to be used for my service animal was completely disgusting and stained. Horrible ac and when asked for a fix or to switch rooms, someone came up and had zero affect on the temp. No new room.

The staff were friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately the property is in dire need of fixing and upgrading. Our room had wet carpet from the leaking Air-conditioner, the inner curtains of the room were missing and the main curtain wouldn't close completely. The beds were decent and the linens were clean. The hotel restaurant was good and decently priced.
