AMAZING! Staying at Lucho’s Ecoaventuras Amazonicas was the highlight of our one month trip in Peru this June! We booked in for the 4 days 3 nights program and didn’t want to leave so ended up staying an extra night and day! Lucho is an amazing host, guide, and person in general! His passion for protecting the Amazon was inspiring. Thanks also victor and Alvaro (sorry if I misspelt!) for being brilliant guides and photographers and also Juan for your hospitality!
Stay here if you’re looking for an authentic amazon experience with people who are passionate about what they do. It’s a sustainable lodge where they grow their own food and the food prepared was always plenty and a true taste of local food which was delicious. We stayed in our own little hut and woke up several mornings with monkeys and red squirrels in the trees outside our window netting. Lucho was a great guide on night walks and very helpful booking other activities in the area like seeing lake Sandoval.
The resident macaw Pepón was a real character and also another highlight to add to the long list!
We recommend staying here x 100! We’ll be back again for sure!
