Absolutely gorgeous location. Utterly dedicated staff. Great facilities. Amazing pools. Very well priced drinks/restaurants on site. Gorgeous long beach immediately at back of hotel with lots of local eating options.

Budget but an incredible place to stay

Whilst not a 5 star hotel (as it’s advertised) this property is incredible and very good value for the price. The beach outside is the best we’ve ever seen and the room design is perfect for families. We absolutely loved our stay here although the food/drinks are at a 3-star level. Just eat outside the hotel- amazing restaurants on the beach!

Amazing location, tired hotel

It could have been a lot better. The hotel is in need of renovation. The pool areas looked really worn down with loose tiles and flooring. The cleaning was just bad. Considering this is a 5 star hotel, it seemed 3 stars would have been adequate. The worse thing about this hotel is the noise from the entertainment crew. Every night from 19-22 there was mini disco and musical and it was just so incredibly loud. Even our kids thought it was way too loud. BUT the hotel has a stunning location and the beach is absolutely amazing! The breakfast was also really good with lots of different options.

We had a nice stay. Unfortunately, the hotel did not quite live up to our expectations. the outside area needs a loving hand. it is not stroller friendly. several times we had to call the reception because the cleaning service had not provided new towels

We booked an adult only area with a jacuzzi, the jacuzzi did not work and both adjacent rooms had young noisy children , especially in the adult only swimming pool, the swim up bar was closed , and other outlets had very limited opening times, certainly not worth the money we paid for this level of facilities

Trevligt familjehotell

Hade en jättehärlig semester med familjen på Mai Khao Lak. Rummet hade poolaccess och var väldigt trevligt. Lite slitet har det nog blivit, speciellt soldäck vid barpoolen. Rummen likaså men ändå fräscht. Bra barnklubb. Trots lite off-läge så är det ändå trevligt ställe med alla mysiga strandrestauranger. Skulle absolut kunna tänka mig att åka tillbaka. Ett minus är frukostsalarna som är väldigt brusiga och högljudda och lite seg påfyllning av saker.

Hele hotellet med utearealet trenger en oppgradering! Det er løse rekkverk, skarpe kanter i bassenger og mer eller mindre ingen badevakter. I vannsklien må man bruke hjelm og badevakten som er der hjelper ikke til. Lite solsenger som ble reservert tidlig på morningen, mange var også ødelagte. Personalet er lite serviceminded, både resepsjonen og restaurantene. Det var sjeldent rene klare strandhåndklær på morningen, eller ettermiddagen. Veldig harde senger og stram lukt på rommet. Frokosten var grei men veldig støy i frokostsalen om man ikke var av de få som fikk bord ute. Stranden nedenfor hotellet er helt fantastisk! Det er også veldig koselige spisesteder langs med strandpromenaden.

Desværre dårlig oplevelse

Personalet på hotellet var stort set kun Trainees der ikke talte et ord engelsk så meget svært at kommunikere. Bookede hotellet pga vandrutsjebanerne men hele underlaget i poolen var sten og grus så man slår sig virkelig når man kommer ned fra en rutsjebane. Derfor ingen børn brugte vandlandet. På værelset virkede afløbet ikke i badet, ventilation på toilet virkede ikke og Aircon blæste kun ud i det ene soveværelse så det andet var ulideligt varmt. Når jeg ringede og bestilte room service måtte jeg tale med tre forskellige personer fordi ingen kunne forstå hvad der blev sagt. Det ødelægger ret meget oplevelsen. Generelt meget slidt værelse og hotel. Har ikke lyst til at komme tilbage.

Bra hotell, men boka inte för vattenlandets skull

Fräscht hotell, Bra service och supertrevlig personal, Bra priser på hotellet samt finns det lite restauranger och massagestolen på stranden nedanför. Skapligt läge mot stan hade varit skönt lite närmare för vår skull. Minus till barnpoolen som barnen såg fram emot, helt hopplös att bada i, sand på botten på kakelplattorna gick inte att gå där, hjälm på vattenrutschkanan barnen vägrade bada där som annars älskar vattenland. Stora poolen saknas mosaikplattor här och där och trillar av nya hela tiden då alla barnen påmhotellet roa sig med att plocka upp dessa och tävla vem som hitta flest. Trädäcket runt poolen väldigt löst och uppstickande skruvar måste ha skor och se sig för vart man går.

Bra hotell i lugnt läge på Khao Lak. Lite dyrare än andra hotell vi bott på i Thailand. Barnen älskade shower osv, poolerna är barnvänliga. Maten på hotellet ok, men inte så mycket mer Finns bra restauranger på stranden nedanför.

Værelserne var udemærket opdelt og størrelsen acceptabel til en familie på 4, men i dårlig stand. Vi var nød til at flytte værelse én gang grundet kraftig lugt af fugt og det håndterede de desværre ikke godt, hvilket nok har udløst det dårlige samlet indtryk. Det andet værelse virkede umiddelbart bedre ventileret, men efter et par dage sneg samme lugt sig ind. Beliggenhed fin i forhold til strand og gode udendørs faciliteter. Hotellet er delt i to sektioner og andet sektion længst væk fra stranden er nyere og værelserne mere attraktive, men ulempen er afstanden til hjertet af området samt vigtigst af alt stranden. Jeg er sikker på at man nok skal få et ganske fint ophold, men det er ikke et sted vi ville besøge igen.

We had a great stay with our family of 5 and enjoyed the beach and the large pool landscape. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained and the staff very friendly and committed. Flott hotell med topp service og svært imøtekommede ansatte. Rommet var fint men preget av fukt. Burde vært bedre ventilasjonsanlegg som reduserte fukten. Vi reiste i juli og mye av hotellfasilitetene var stengt. Naturlig nok grunnet lavsesong, men burde vært opplyst om samt kompensert. Nærområdet var nydelig! For en strand! Kjempegod mat på noen av de strandliggende lokale restaurantene! Anbefales!

Our experience was poor. The resort advertises about being family friendly but the rooms are all single bedroom and tiny! Staff were rude and unhelpful, and the majority of the resort was not open as it was low season. The pools look good but in reality are average. They are extremely shallow (no deeper than 1.3M) and are heavily chlorinated. The food they served was disgusting, so we ate elsewhere. I would recommend booking somewhere else!
