Truly unique place to stay, in Taipei & in general
The Readers’ House makes up part of a restored compound, close to a historically important trading port. The area is vibrant during the day and early evening, while being quiet in the later evening and early morning - ideal for noise during typical sleeping hours. Other tenants of the compound include a cafe, bar/restaurant, a little museum, shops, and reading space. There are 2 “courtyards,” in which an elevator helps to make the space accessible for those with mobility challenges. Range of activities nearby, along with wharf and transit. I found that we most benefitted from doing some research/exploring of the area on our own, and think others will too - but TRH team might consider how differently to prime guests about the significance and distinguishing features of the property. While some visitors may not care (initially), I think it could help folks to understand why the layout is the way it is. Our first night/day was a bit confusing, since getting in and out of the building and to our unit was not the most straight forward. I also saw other guests confused too. For my group at least, once I explained the building’s past, it made more sense about how the entry/exit works. Moreover, it eased some of my companions’ impatience at what initially seemed “annoying.” Perhaps additional print info for those with varied language/learning abilities. Just a suggestion, to further convey what to expect, enjoy, embrace at The Readers’ House and Dadaocheng - more should visit!

読人館には2度宿泊しました。お部屋はとても素敵で清潔。公園側のお部屋であれば朝も静かで、ベッドの寝心地も良いです。スタッフの皆さんも親切で、概ね満足のいく施設でした。ただ、今回我々の泊まった部屋には「トイレットペーパーをトイレに流さないように」との注意書きがありました(友人の部屋は流せたようです)。使用済みのトイレットペーパーをゴミ箱に捨てるというのは、日本人にはなかなかハードルの高いものです…

スタッフの方はとても親切でした。ホテルの部屋も雰囲気があり良いです。ただタオルはありましたが、歯ブラシやハンドソープはなかったです。テレビもリモコンはあったけど、なぜかつかなかったです。ホテルの前は問屋街で観光には良い場所です。

Beautiful and cozy place and very friendly staff. She kindly explained about the shopping area, the best way to the restaurant we want to go, nice shops for souvenirs. We bought the sweets which she recommended us, and it was so tasty! We are already excited to visit this beautiful hotel again!

よかった点 ・建物が美しい、部屋が広い ・家具も上品なうえに使いやすかった。ヨーロッパのレンタルアパートメントみたいにむやみやたらとクッションが置かれていないのがいい ・バスタブがある。しかも大きい ・中庭。緑がたっぷりで小鳥もたくさんいて、屋内なのに自然に近い感じがして癒される ・立地。迪化街のどまんなか、地元のひとの暮らしに触れられる。気さくなＢ窮グルメの店もいっぱい ・サービスのお茶がとてもおいしい。近所の店で売っているときいておみやげに買って帰った よくなかった点 ・無線LANの接続が悪い ・キッチン。熱源は電子レンジすらなく、食器や調理器具もない。市場でフルーツを買ったり、持ち帰った肉まんやちまきを温めたり、といったことはまったくできなかった ・連泊するにはトイレットペーパー、シャンプー等の消耗品が少ない。けっきょく自分で購入した ・駅からちょっと遠い。でも許容範囲

三年前に引き続き2回目の滞在(今回は4日間)でした。レトロな建物がステキで部屋もリビング、屋根裏、ミニキッチンなどもあり住むように滞在できます。常在のスタッフがいてないのでタオル替えや掃除などは滞在中いちどもなくこちらから頼んだらタオルなどは持ってきてもらえるシステム。堅苦しくなく自由に過ごしたい人には最適だと思います。

迪化街の中にあるゲストハウス 古民家リノベで雰囲気もあります 【よかった点】 中庭が素敵 アメニティのセンスが良い 迪化街へのアクセス抜群 【悪かった点】 ・スタッフ不在すぎて、ほぼ放置 ・チェックイン、アウト時も不在 ・入り口が暗すぎる ・何かあったらLINEで連絡してと言われたけど、問い合わせても返事がない。ようやく連絡があったのは、チェックアウトしてから5時間後。ふざけてる。 ・フリーWi-Fiなのにパスワード教えてくれなくて使えない ・テレビがつかない ・キッチンがあるけど流しだけ。コンロ、食器などなし ・ハンガーかけが玄関のみ。アウターならいいけど、他のはかけられない ・水漏れがすごい。晴れてた日なのに、上の階から水が落ちてくる。 ・シャワーの水が黒かった。最悪。 ・歯ブラシ、歯磨き粉、パジャマなどが用意されてない。(ドライヤーはある。) 他にも不備な点があったけど、書ききれない。 コンセプトや雰囲気は素敵だけど、実際に泊まるとなると不便だらけ。 部屋も広すぎるので、半分の広さで半額のがいい。 一泊素泊まりで、2万4千円 それで、これの内容はがっかり

古い商家をリノベしているようで、部屋は広く、とてもよかったです。 レストランやカフェを通り抜けて部屋に出入りするのは、不思議でした。 地下鉄からは少し遠いです。 建物や部屋のカードキーが1枚しかないのは不便でした。

原住兩天，前台未见服務员，入住時给我4人日式房，全家超失望，因沒有網上中式华丽房形！ 第二天得知入住時全店其實只有我們1家，其他房空的！即要求轉房，房價亦得知相同，結果換間超大中式房……但難補償第一天心情 房價不平……hkd 2300

期待を裏切らないとても素敵なお部屋です。 中庭に面しており夜はとても静かです。 街を散策するのに便利な立地で、とても楽しいひと時をすごせました。 1Fのカフェで利用できる、コーヒー割引券を頂戴しましたが、ミネラルウォーターの方がありがたかったです。

Centenary historic Taiwanese architecture
The centenary historic building combined the spirits of architecture, literature and humanities. Once and only living experience in a 1920’s luxurious Taiwanese style mansion decorated with old Taipei scenery. Located at Dihua Street, the oldest commercial street in Taipei, the Readers' House is so convenient for bringing the tea, herbs and food back to the room and we can continue shopping these Taiwanese products and produce all day long.

景観が素晴らしい！
　以前から泊まりたいと思っていたホテルでした。今回滞在して、予想以上に満足しました。 　MRTの大橋頭駅から徒歩10分の場所にあり、街並も新旧が入り混じる景観が素晴らしいです。 　ロフト付きの部屋に泊まりました。部屋は清潔で、調度類もレトロで素敵でした。 　広い邸宅の２階が宿泊する部屋、１階がレストランやカフェになっています。 　部屋も廊下も、中庭も素晴らしいので、建物に興味がある方や台湾の歴史文化に触れたい方に是非お勧めしたいホテルです。 　最終日は朝早いフライトだったので、スタッフの方にお願いしてタクシーを手配してもらったり、到着日には迪化街の説明を丁寧にしていただきました。 　機会があればまた泊まりたいと思います！

オールドシティーで昔の建物に泊まる贅沢
友人3人でロフトタイプに宿泊しました。 【良かった点】 ①部屋が広くて快適 ②部屋数少なく宿泊人数が限定されているから、大型ホテルのような喧騒なし。③スタッフが日本語可能なのでやり取りがスムーズ。テレビが見れなかったけど、ラインでやり取りして修理してもらいました。また、近郊おススメマップをもらえて便利でした。④近くは漢方薬、乾物、布市場、台北オールドシティーを満喫できるので、街の散策が楽しかった。 【気になった点】 ①3人なのでお風呂のお湯が最後はだんだん温くなった。②下の階のトイレ・シャワー・ミニキッチンの水圧が弱かった③入った時に少々匂いが気になった。④水のサービスがなかったので、近くでペットボトル買った。安いから仕方ないけど。 ・ アーリーチェックインをお願いしてたけど、予定より早く着いてしまい、ホテルには人が不在で下のカフェで待ちつつ、カフェスタッフに宿泊することを伝えてフロントスタッフを呼んでもらいました。すぐに来てくれて助かりました。

家族旅行だったので、併殺のレストランとカフェが遅くまで営業していて便利でした。 スタッフの方にいただいたGoogleマップが洗練されていてどこに行っても楽しめました。

全体的に落ち着いた照明。それ自体はいいのですが、ガイドを読むときなどに足せるスタンドなどがあると完璧でした。各部屋に懐中電灯はありましたが片手が使えなくなるので、ソファ周りにテーブルランプやスタンドがあると嬉しい。
