The property is an older apartment building converted to a hotel which I think was a good decision. So, the rooms are more like small studios rather than a traditional hotel room which worked for me.

Property was nice, convenient and safe. It was driving distance from Los Angeles and Sequoia national park. The staff and service was great. The room didn't smell good but it was ok.

The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the TV was fine. The shower felt good after a day out in the weeds. Coffee could have been refreshed the following morning.

Well maintained property. Rooms entered from indoor hallways and stairwells so a little more luggage shlepping than usual. Very quiet and my room was spacious. Slept well. Recommended.

Fantastic, yet quaint, hotel
My wife and I have literally stayed in hundreds of hotels, but this gem is a real find! The service was top notch, the room spotless, and the king-sized bed we slept in was one of the most comfortable we have ever experienced (of course that is subjective and YMMV). This rural hotel even has its own fenced, private parking area. This bargain of a hotel even supplied thinner pillows (already in the room's closet) w/o us having to go request some as we usually do. If you're travelling between N. CA & S. CA, do yourself a favor. Drive a few miles off the interstate and prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Clean, quiet, comfortable--a 10+ rating if there ever was one!

We were disappointed with the description since it said, “pool.” But it was a community pool, across the street, open for a few hours a day. Oh my! Other than this, the property itself is clean and a nice stay.

The place was clean although there was hair in the sink strainer. The deadbolt was broken, the smoke detector was missing &the bedside lamp was broken. But I’m sure these are things that the cleaning staff didn’t tell the owners or even realized were wrong.

We loved the uniqueness of the building and room. It reminded me of places I’ve stayed in Europe. It maybe a 2 star hotel but I give it 4.

The property is located convinently in the city with many varieties of restaurants nearby. The check in process was easy and quict. The staff was very friently. The room is very specious. However, the interior of the room can use some updates, especially the shower head. The shower head is "fixed" at one location. Shouldn't it be adjustable? Also, the knobs were very had to turn.

Large room, big comfy bed, nice towels, good service, quiet, and great value. Many hotels do not provide daily service Holland House did. To be clear, it is not fancy, but very comfortable.
