"We really loved our stay! It is a beautiful spot and the home is well built in the high winds.
We had a few small issues we noticed and the hosts were quick to take care of them while we were there.
We did not quite realize the altitude was as high as it was, (we were coming from 1,000 feet) but the view and beauty made it worth it.
The sauna, hot tub and wood stove were all wonderful ways to stay warm in the chilly winter. "

"Overall pretty disappointed in our experience. I completely understand that the weather is not typical and that certain amenities can not happen because of that. However, in my experience, management did not appropriately staff the property and therefore many of the experiences were not great. The pool was not accessible because there was a capacity of 25 swimmers the first night and then the following day it was closed completely due to “unexpected circumstances” and the rest of the amenities were limited I’m assuming because of the weather (heat wave in March). This as well as the cost of the limited buffet that was provided really put a bad taste in our experience we payed over 100$ for a extremely limited buffet for a family of 6 (2 actually adults, 15yo, 13, 8, 5) and the majority of us just ate a salad. No Mac and cheese or nuggets to be found. We decided to leave very early on our 3rd day. I really came with low expectations on accommodations (our room was riddled with stains on walls and ceiling and the bathroom was laughable and the smell of BO in common areas) but I had hope that the amenities would compensate. It did not. "
"Check in was the worst experience, you have to download and app, yet you still need interaction with the front desk. Staff are great, super helpful but the check in is a nightmare. The building is a bit tired and worn, it all works and the location is great. Nothing in Winter Park base station you have to drive into Winter Park town for any half decent restaurants."
"Staff was wonderful! The rooms are definitely old, strong smell of old smoke in the air. Odd setup of the room. Not quite inviting, yet not completely off putting. It was a safe place to spend the night. I’ve definitely stayed in worse and in better.
Wouldn’t plan a long stay or plan to stay in the room more than just for basic sleeping and showering. "
"Almost everything was great and maybe I’m just used to being spoiled by other hotels but they wanted to up charge me to get a two bed instead of the one bed we got, it was the same price too! I just accidentally chose the wrong one. I know my fault but whatever they didn’t care! Made me feel unwelcome. The manager or she claimed to be one, was rude about it too. Told me it’s ONLY $10, okay if it’s Only $10 than you cover it. If it’s not a big deal to you… They charge for everything here tho. Idk I’m used to feeling wanted at hotels and used to staff making sure I’m comfortable and happy. Just different experience. Great view, place is clean, and breakfast was good. Just treat customers like you want them there especially if you’re a manager, I personally didn’t like that. "
"The front office staff was efficient, but definitely not warm and friendly. No warm greetings and no smiles. I spent a career in Customer Service and I think they need more work. The hotel advertised a heated pool. There was nothing heated about that pool."
