A useful place to stay when visiting Avebury. Basic rustic accommodation. Unfortunately, when we arrived we discovered that the kitchen was closed other than for breakfasts. However, the Prince of Wales across the road was open for meals. We had two cooked breakfasts here, deliciously cooked by different staff. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful, prividing a home away from home experience. Bed was comfy and we slept soundly. Our dog was treated wonderfully.

Great little room

GREAT little purpose built rooms out the rear with its own rear parking. Ideal stay for a family get together. Large bathroom and comfy bed

Suggested improvements would be upgrading the sockets to USB ones & adding a mirror in the bedroom. Staff were helpful & friendly provided a relaxed welcoming service. We thought it great value for the price paid. We were impressed with the size of the room and how quiet it was so we had great sleep. Shower pressure was amazing. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly Staff, pleasant village.

Lovely area friendly staff, only problem was the bed has wooden sides and a low mattress which means you hurt the back of your legs trying to get out of bed the mattress needs higher.

Dog friendly hotel good value

We were visiting friends in the village. Room was nice and warm, staff very helpful, good selection at breakfast. We opted for the full English which was good. Perfect do our stay plus dog friendly.

Good overnight stay

Clean room, powerful shower and pleasant situation. The walls were a bit thin so you could hear cisterns refilling and you could feel the springs through the mattress. Also the tv did not work and neither did the bathroom mirror light. The outdoor garden was nice and the staff were friendly and cheerful.

Fantastic place to stay. Everyone attentive, friendly and helpful and dog friendly. Excellent breakfast, extensive continentalplus full english at weekends. Room opens directly onto courtyard amd garden which was great for the dog. Lovely comfortable bed.

The Barrington Arms Hotel review

A good hotel, that served continental breakfast and dinner. The room was tidy and clean with all the amenities I needed. My only complaint was that dinner is not served on a Monday night.
