The Pathmaker Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent stay overall! The staff was exceptional—friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our visit. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Bar Harbor on foot, and the breakfast was delicious each morning. A couple of things to be aware of: if your room faces the street, expect some road and pedestrian noise, especially during busy times. Also, blackout curtains would be a great improvement. With the sun rising before 5:00 a.m. in the summer, the room gets quite bright very early. Despite those minor issues, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return."

"There was no breakfast our first morning there. In fact, there wasn't even anyone at the desk to ask about it. The manager did visit us later to try to make things right. But it was too little too late. The rooms were small but clean. The AC worked well enough but the days we were there were cool. The shower was good enough. Decent water pressure. And the proximity to the Village Center was good. All in all I would say it was worth what we paid. "

"This place blew my expectations out of the water. The staff was very friendly upon arrival and very informative. We had dinner in the lodge the first night and the serving sizes were so large and good. The tent itself was beyond what I could've imagined. My fiance loves camping and it was his birthday and this was his surprise. I hate camping but I can do glamping and this was perfect for both our tastes. It was cozy inside and the amenities were excellent. We had a fire one night with the free firewood and went in the pool and the hot tub. We were there on warm days and it was still cool inside, even so that we used the heaters but in a good way. Very close to everything we needed but still far enough away that we felt like we were actually glamping. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it whole heartily to anyone."

"The room was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. It's a great location, walkable to many restaurants and shops. One issue --I was in one of the smaller buildings. They are located on a rather steep hill, above the parking area. The issue is the room numbers are very small. I had to drag my luggage up a hill and go from small building to small building until I found the one I needed. They need larger numbers. :) Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay."
