「Location to Grandfather Mountain was great. A/C was great. Kitchen does not have some basic utensils and is not fully supplied (as advertised) - fortunately there is a Food Lion nearby where we bought what should have been supplied. Sofa and chairs did not feel clean and we put a sheet over the sofa. Beds and bed linens were good and clean. But, great place to have a family get-together to attend the nearby Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain.」

「We stayed here after an unfortunate accident which totaled our car. The staff at Graystone went out of their way to help us get back on track. They gave us early checkin and great direction on how to navigate the situation using options in the Boone area. Everything about the hotel was wonderful, including the room breakfast, and fresh chocolate chip cookies. We hope to return for another stay here under better circumstances. It is a beautiful area!」

「When I called re a florist in the area for fresh bouquet, the manager said he'd be happy to get their Gardener to cut flowers and make a bouquet for me. Wow, that was so nice! When it was brought to our room the girl would not take any payment. The flowers were lovely and went on my mother's grave. I really appreciate how they went out of their way for me. The room was spotless and the a/c worked very well. Plus we enjoyed having a living area and kitchen. We were within walking distance...

「We might have just come during a time when they were understaffed, but the day we checked out it was impossible to find a single employee to help us. We didn't need the breakfast but wanted a cup of coffee before we headed out and had some other questions and we went to the front desk multiple times, even walked into the dining room, and never saw an employee. There was a sign on the table where they clearly usually have coffee but it was never actually there. Overall it was an easy place to...

「The staff and amenities were great! Breakfast was hot and well stocked! We enjoy the pool alone twice on our trip. Only down side was our room was not very clean, stains on the sheets, shower and floor were dirty and it smelled a little bit. We also did not use the WiFi due to having to make an account but that was our choice.」

「There was little to like here. The room was average, only basic bathroom toiletries, no blanket or fold out luggage rack. Breakfast was low quality. Staff was unaccommodating and rude , particularly the female day manager. Will not be visiting here again, and perhaps no HIE. They are cut rate on most everything.」
