Did not go there as the property has some issues, however I was nicely rebooked by the owner to another guesthouse nearby. I can only say it was very nice of him to make it up. Thanks :)

Ég á örugglega eftir að gista þarna aftur.

Comfy er gistiheimili sem er bara fínt að gista á þar eru sturtur og wc hreint og rúminn bara fín en þarna er enginn luxus. en það er ódýrt að gista þar og allt bara frekar einfallt og hreint.

A great place to stay when your on the road and need somewhere easy and peaceful to sleep. In a quant little town through a nifty tunnel. Beautiful area. There was some miscommunication with the complimentary breakfast. As Orbitz took a while to take it down so I was under the assumption of free breakfast. However, the hotel informed me within reasonable time that there was a change of policy and offered to refund my reservation. The hotel was clean and a great peaceful place to sleep!

Aucune réception à notre arrivée, aucun personnel sur place. Nous avons attendus plus d'une heure avant de pouvoir rejoindre quelqu'un car le numéro de téléphone ET le site Web étaient hors fonction. Après quelques temps, une dame qui ne travaille pas pour l'établissement est venue nous porter une clé de la chambre. Le lit était confortable. Nous avons eu droit à une seule serviette pour trois personnes. La toilette n'était pas nettoyée et il y avait une araignée à l'intérieur. Malgré qu'il était inscrit que nous avions droit à un déjeuner gratuit, il n'y avait toujours personne à l'établissement le matin. Nous avons donc payé pour rien. Nous sommes très déçus de l'hébergement.

bad communication and service

It was indicated that breakfast would be included in the booking details through hotels.com. However, upon arrival, staff told us that hotels.com had made a mistake on the advertisement and no breakfast was served. We could have prepared our own breakfast if the mistake was made known to us earlier and not tell us only when we just arrived the accommodation. As a result, we left the accommodation the next morning with an empty stomach. The guesthouse insisted that it was hotels.com mistake and did not offer any compensation. room was ok.

Het is een erg gedateerde locatie. Het schijnt dat er pas een nieuwe eigenaar in zit. Het tapijt, het stucwerk, de keuken. Eigenlijk kan alles er wel een update gebruiken! De douche was constant lauw en koud. De keuken zag er verwaarloosd uit en ook van buiten leek het een verlaten schoolgebouw. De eigenaar was telefonisch wel heel behulpzaam. Hopelijk gaat hij snel aan het werk om alles te vernieuwen!

Loved it!

We received great information at check-in so we could easily navigate our way around the peninsula. The kitchen has everything you need and the bathrooms are large and clean. Definitely value for money. One of our favourite stays in Iceland so far.

Simple

Basic room in a smaller town but not far from the regional hub. Clean but basic accommodations. Nice breakfast and staff who live on site to provide assistance. Restaurant and bar just down the street. Not much else in town otherwise.

The place smells moldy. No toilet paper, no hand soap was in the shared WC. The kitchen was extremely messy with pile of dirty dishes. The staffs (3 girls) were chatting loudly, laughing, eating the whole afternoon and evening while we were there. When we asked help to turn on TV (which was broken), they didn’t even bother to respond. The worst thing was that they didn’t provide any bath towel; when I asked for bath towels, they said the dryer was broken.

Wonderful in Sudureyri

Wonderful place to stay in the Westfjords. Significantly more intimate than Isafjordur, but only a short drive away. Very nice breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Felt very homely staying here. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Friendly hospitality & fresh baking too!

The family that runs this guesthouse truly believes in making guests comfy! Very clean and quiet. Fresh baked bread and cake for breakfast was wonderful! Only issue: it's a little tired on the outside. Overall hospitality was tops and the hosts were super friendly!

Nice place in town with limited options

Sudureyri in the Westfjords is a must see for its beauty (and that very long tunnel!), but only has so many options in town. The Comfy Guesthouse is nice. The only discomfort is the bathroom- there are not many and they are not conveniently located. Overall, it is a fine place with caring owners.

Chambre propre et bonne literie. 4 Douches communes tres propres et spacieuses. Copieux Petit dejeuner avecune tarte et pain faits maison. Gerant/concierge tres agreable, Souriant et prevenant. Cloisons un peu fines, on entend un peu les voisins, mais tout dépend de vos voisins.

Super service.

Nous avons fait le tour de l'islande en voiture ce qui nous a amener dans les fjords de l'ouest ou nous avons passer une nuit dans ce guesthouse. Le gérant est génial avec un humour que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Il vous raconte les histoires de ce village de pêcheur. Niveau confort c'est parfait. Et que de la vue sur les fjords.
