"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. The cottage is immaculately clean and has everything you could wish for for a short and longer stay. The cottage is very spacious and also peaceful and quiet so you can enjoy a truly relaxing time away. Great location to explore the coastline or Kent in land. I would love to come back in future to have the same experience again. Thanks for everything. "

"We stayed 3 nights and couldn’t fault it. It was very clean and well maintained, we even thought it had been recently renovated but it hadn’t. Will stay there again"

"This place was certainly unique! From the pink and red contrasting wallpaper to the old musty smells there wasn’t much to be excited about, although for the price I shouldn’t expect 5 ⭐ luxury but had hoped for better. The bedroom decor was something to be marvelled at, whoever came up with the black/grey scheme with a pine wardrobe painted black must have an interesting mind. The shower was horrendous and while the water barely trickled out it either scalded you or froze you to death. The brown carpet however was on another level! It looked like it had its own ecosystem and decided not to walk on it barefoot, I recommend nobody else does too. Apart from that it was a good location and had a great weekend, mostly because I wasn’t in the room."

"Great location, disappointing stay (Room 129) The hotel is in a fantastic location right on the High Street and looks lovely from the outside. The bar area is nice, and the staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival. However, the experience quickly became underwhelming. The hotel feels tired throughout, stairs and carpets need refurbishing, and the lift is very small and dated. While it’s an older building, it lacks upkeep. We stayed in Room 129, which was bland and lacked character, with plain décor. The carpets needed cleaning, especially in corners. The bathroom was small and a bit dingy. The bed was extremely soft and uncomfortable, with an uneven feel. The TV was mounted crooked, and the curtains didn’t block out light properly. The net curtain looked grey and unclean. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. Aside from self-service coffee and cereal, everything (even toast) had to be ordered, leading to delays and a frustrating experience, one of the worst hotel breakfasts I’ve had. Overall, while the staff were pleasant and the location is excellent, the hotel feels worn and didn’t meet expectations. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return."

"Greeted on arrival, staff were great. Nice hotel, clean room, lovely bath in the room, lovely view. Sadly the lack of air conditioning ruined it for us. We had the suite on the 3rd floor and it was ridiculously hot and you can only open the windows a very small amount. I definitely wouldn't recommend through the summer months as we didn't sleep well at all. "
